Oops, I didn't even look around for another computer! Duh. Thanks, MaG.

Ok, I can't believe I have so much trouble with this game. This is what I get for trying to go it without looking at the walkthrough every couple of minutes! Anyway, I sent the message on the radio to send the item but ended after that. Now I see that I should have also said that the payment had been sent. I can't get back on to the channel now at all. Does this mean that I have to go back to an earlier save, or will this all work out? Nancy always seems to challenge me in one way or another! Darn teenagers.

Hi pamvan,
Maybe the channel is already set up for receiving the final word? Have you tried entering the code for payment to see what happens? If that doesn't work, what happens when you re-tune into 2050 (or 2731) and press Connect?

Did you read the magazine on the small table in Joanna's office which mentions Prudence? Also examine the plaque on the wall outside the office, there's another mention of Prudence there. Then try calling Franklin Rose again, see if that does the trick. It's more fun playing without a walkthrough, though, don't you think?

Yeah, Rushes, it is more fun, albeit somewhat humbling. I have looked at the magazine and the plaque, but will do it again and try the call. I entered the 2050 channel, received the 83271, entered the 2731 channel and received the channel not receiving message again. I tried to send the code word by Morse code, but nothing happened. I'm wondering if I haven't asked the right questions along the way and somehow gotten myself stuck. Is that possible?
I just tried looking at the magazine again--looked at the plaque even though the magnifying glass didn't turn red--and tried Franklin rose. The slacker still is out of the office. I'm beginning to not like this guy.

Yes, it's possible to hit a dead end by making what the game considers to be the wrong dialogue choices. That might not be your problem, let's see if we can get you around this. Have you spoken to Sinclair about everything and discussed the stolen necklace? Are you checking your voicemail regularly? What time is it in the game? Perhaps it's evening and so you won't be able to contact Franklin by telephone, in which case you'll need to reset your hotel room clock.

I feel your pain. It's difficult to tell what you might have missed, or if you've hit a stuck point. Check back against the walkthrough, if you haven't already done so. Rather than go back and replay huge chunks, there are a whole heap of saved games HERE that you might find useful. and let us know how you get on.

You're welcome. Hope you're able to move forward now. Enjoy the rest of the game.
