Morning Ana,

I downloaded this game early, played 5 minutes and bought it. It seems just like my kind of game.

This is one of the best HOG games I've ever played. This game has everything: Great graphics, no timer, unlimited hints, good length, puzzles that make sense. This game does everything right and it's a "must have". It's an exciting game

I just finished the first case and it took 45 minutes, I took my time and read everything. With 8 more to go it should be a fairly decent game for length.

The items to find aren't too hard nor too easy. It's a great game so far.

There are also twenty unique mini games that can be replayed.

This game has been on my "To Buy" list for a while now, so glad it finally got to BFG. Downloaded and bought it this morning. I played it for a little while so far it seems to be pretty good. I am also glad the "Get Tommorows Game Today" feature is back. I missed it.

this is a great game with an interesting story. I've played the first chapter. search hidden objects and you're rewarded with an object you can use later on in the game. minigames aren't difficult, if you cann't solve them, then you can skip them. with Enlightnus so far the best game that has been released. in chapter one you have to find a hidden laboratory, so play a minigame. look for clues around to solve the minigame. I love this game and take my time to play and enjoy it.

This is an excellent, quality game. The idea of the game, what with the paranormal agency and all, reminds me quite a bit of an older 1990s game called Bureau 13--it really makes me wonder if the idea for Department 42 stemmed from a recollection of Bureau 13. If so, it's great that the idea was resurrected. Either way, this is one of those games that spoils you for other HOGs. thumbsup

I'm having trouble downloading this game. It gets to about 25% then starts over. Anything I can do to help it along?

I had trouble like this too earlier this morning; once it got past 50% or so, the situation improved.

What I did was to watch the download like a hawk, and as soon as it seemed to stall and I didn't see the numbers going up, I hit pause and then a second or two later hit resume. I had to baby it along like this quite a bit, but eventually it got to 100% this way and I was able to complete the download and the game then installed.

Where is pause, and resume? I'll sit here and stare at it!

Pause/resume are one and the same thing (the one symbol performs the same function). Look to the right of where it shows you the percentage completed of the download and you will see a white box with what looks like two vertical blue lines; that is what you click on to pause the game. In fact, if you hold your mouse cursor over that white box with the two blue vertical lines, it will say "pause." Just click on that, wait a moment or two, then click it again, and the download will resume.

I had to do this maybe a dozen times or more to get the game to continue to download and not to stall; as I said, once I got to the 50% point or better, it didn't need babying like this quite so much.

Give this a try and I hope this works for you.

widget, it's been awhile since I played and can't recall what the order it is in. Margie is almost ready to post her walkthrough, I'll put the link here as soon as it is done.

Hi widget

I cannot remember the exact numbers but the clues are around the bar. There is one on the blackboard, one in the light- and one on a post I think.
Maybe solution is 263

From memory
1=2
2 something about 2x3
3= triangle (3)

Anyway if you look at the clues you can work it out smile

I'm really appreciating the fact that this game isn't giving me eyestrain (as opposed to some other HOGs I have played). I have enough headaches in my own life already without getting more of them due to a game.

I am stuck on the tarot card mirror puzzle where you have to move in less than five moves. No picture up at Margies for this one yet, it is driving me mad.

What kind of magic spell to use?

Good Monday morning to all. I am stuck in Dept 42, Mystery of the nine.

I am in Dreamworld Study, I need a lens for the microscope, open a drawer in desk (tells me I don't have enough strength) I still need 1 rune and 3 elements. I seem to find myself at a point that these all hinge on getting a key object located and the others may become available. Searched hints and forums find lots of questions but nothing about these issues.

Thanks for any help you can be. Good game, good graphics and lordy be....no one should say its too short.

Response to Mag...yes I have collected all 9 of the objects needed, I still have three in inventory not yet used, they are the necklace, rabbits foot and I forget what the third one is.
I think I am at stage 9 of 9, so assume its nearing the end of the game. Thanks for your response to these questions. The necklace is called "Fang of the Pack Leader" and the only other item is the Rabbits Paw. I was mistaken I do not have a third item left

I can't remember this part but the phrase - don't have much strength nudge me a bit. The werewolf has strength. Do you have the artifact taken from him?
