I bought it right away. Great game. Is this from the same people who made Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow? It is very much like that game.
Find the object type play and then you have to use your tools to find the items in blue.
A winner!
Prices are going up everywhere except in our incomes.

I haven't downloaded yet to see NYLady, but BFG-Guy is very excited about this game and made a special post about it on BigFish so I'll be checking it out. He said it'll remind you of a favorite. I'm hoping it's going to be like RTR. Ana

Yes he did say that but I think he has overrated it :wink - no ulterior motive I am sure but just midjudgement as he cannot play every game released. The game has great things about it like the story and mystery- the graphics are terrific and I like the animations like the autumn leaves- the witnesses etc BUT the game is very very easy both object finding and puzzles so there is no challenge. It is a nice game and I bought it - but not a great game overall unfortunatley because it is just too simple and I have played about half way now. Worth buying- yes definitley- fun game and better than many out now- especially if you want something not too taxing which we all do now and then. Great game for the Hall of Fame - NOPE

I thought they did a great job creating the atmosphere and while it is not as challenging as RTR, I enjoyed it. Paul

Yep BFG-Guy- and why I said no ulterior motive as I am aware it is not a game from your studio. If you personally find it up there with the greatest casual games of course your personal choice- and I hope your studios do not follow this trend of making games too easy. I personally cannot stand games too difficult- but when they are too easy it also takes away enjoyment. My review above put the game in very good light- I just do not see how you can claim it as amongst the greats as someone that creates games for our enjoyment it is a bit of a concern. I understand this site is BF pro and Ana about to explode so I will say no more- I will respect your opinon of the game Paul, and hopefully same

I understand this site is BF pro and Ana about to explode so I will say no more- Bella Rosa, I stand behind any company that treats their customers fairly, and I do not direct people to go to sites that I myself would not use, due to their privacy invasion and software they install. People come here to be informed and they know that we look at their best interest. It would be irresponsible to tell them to go somewhere and download a game, knowing that they will get spyware and adware on their computers. Just as you see me as pro-BigFish, I see some as anti-BigFish and attempting to disguise their posts as constructive criticism.

I can assure you Ana, ther is nothing Anti BF about myself or any game club I belong to. I apologise for naming you personally in this - but you must admit the causal game section here is only geared towards a couple of sites. This is a private forum and it is your perogative for it to be so. I am a huge BF game buyer for the record. I will reiterate that the game is very good but not amongst the best If you play the game and find it one of the best casual games you ever played then well and good. I just think that Paul may have over stated it and expressed so. I think he has actually now stated it is easy over at the BF forums which was the point I was trying to make so - peace

I absolutely respect anyone's opinion (opinions by definition can never be wrong), and of course my opinion is simply mine(BFG_Guy aka Picman aka Paul) not a BFG's opinion. I do not think it is as good as RTR which is how some interpreted my comments (as my commnets were not clear). My intent was to say "it is my pick of the week because I had just played it, enjoyed it and the experience a lot, and it "reminded" me of RTR, not that is was as challenging or deep as RTR" BTW, our studios does not march to anyone else's drum beat, they are all individuals. Each team has their own "special sauce". The lead developer of the MCF series has a sadistic side, in a good way, and loves to see people scratching their heads trying to figure out his (often VERY challenging) puzzles. Cheers!

BR, I don't find the game too easy I have had to use many ravens (hints) to find items that for me were almost impossible to see. I think the graphics are exceptional, as are the sound effects. While I missed BFG-Guy's posting on the BFG site, I think this is going to be a great game. I expect to buy it later.
So many games, so little time.

Thanks for the kind words Doc, but I'll have to bust your bubble a bit though. I'm not exactly the sassy moderator who lives in the naughty corner with a Demon spawn of thunder and lightning avatar for nothing. MaG loves me despite all those things (right MaG ) but I'm sure I have her pulling her lovely hair out some days. My opinions and posts are my own, not necessarily the opinions of GameBoomers. MaG does not direct what games or sites we post news on, I wake up in the morning and check for myself. She trusts that we do the right thing and I hope I live up to GameBoomers wonderful standards. That said....how about we resume discussing the game as the thread was intended. ana

I've played the demo for almost the full hour now and this game screams "quality," polished presentation, and a deliciously spooky atmosphere. It's a treat. It's 100 degrees here right now so the fact that the game does not also possess brain-busting puzzles is a definite plus right now, as this sort of heat is not conducive to rigorous thinking-through right now for me at all. So, I am perfectly happy to wait until November (perhaps the day before Thanksgiving? am I close on the release date, Paul?) for that OTHER game that will scream "quality," have a polished presentation, a deliciously spooky atmosphere, AND brain-busting puzzles.

It is easi.....er than some, but that's a good thing sometimes, for me. The graphics and story line are fantastic, adding to the pleasure of this game. Personally I find that I need an easier one that I can stop and start at will without losing my track, instead of having panda eyes in the morning because I stayed up too late finishing Return to Mysterious Island 2 I think you will enjoy it LFL, and it will do your brain good Lin Resuming discussing! I hope the game is easy as that is just what my brain is in the mood for

I played the hour demo this morning but took a break to go out for lunch. Then I got busy taking care of nasty paperwork that was threatening to engulf my desk. Now - at last - I can use that game credit that is burning a hole in my pocket to buy this game. I've passed on several games this month in hopes a really good one would come along and (drum roll) it's here!
I loved this game from the opening scene. Awesome concept and exceptional development. For what it's worth, I agree with BFG Guy that it reminds me a bit of RTR, probably related to the spooky atmosphere and dark subject matter. However it is exceptionally easy and that's not always a bad thing. I was obsessed with RTR. This one will be a great 'casual' game that I can tear myself away from long enough to eat and sleep and maybe even shower. Hope we see more of these "dark games" in the future. They are ever so much more fun than globetrotting around the world in search of treasure or antiquities.
Thumbs up!

The fact that this site is "geared toward specific sites" is why I come here. We are warned against the sites that are not good to deal with. We are told which ones are fair and safe. Nothing wrong with that. Big Fish Games is the best company and it would be very hard not to be biased. This game is not something that was thrown together. I can see the fantastic workmanship that went into making this game. The graphics alone are wonderful and I love the sound and the storyline. The main objective of all games isn't the difficulty level but the enjoyment derived and I'm deriving a whole lot.

I just finished the game and I found it refreshing. Didn't have a lot of brain drain...helps the ego to have an easier game now and then. I have to pull back from the tough ones to something easier so I don't have to get my self thumped on the head for overlooking the not so obvious things in harder games. I personally will replay this game and listen to the recommendations of the moderators here and on BFG. So far they haven't dumped on me...........I think thats why so many games have the free hour to look and see for ourselves. Off now to play a tougher one again, Return to MI 2... which is one of my waterloos.

I hate to say this, I know it will make me look bad but... this game is not too easy for me.
I have to use a hint to find at least one object each time. Then, I have a hard time thinking of what to do with the objects to get the blue things. Like the bottle on the tombstone... I was lost on that one. Had to use another hint.
Not everyone's skill level is the same. I especially like games that can be fine-tuned to everyone's skill level. LIke where you pick the difficulty setting.

NYLady, we all have strengths and weaknesses. Put me in a maze and I'm history after the first step, give me a slider and I'm in heaven. No shame in not being able to do something. I am sure you can do plenty of things, I wouldn't dream of doing. If all games made were the same, we would be bored to tears. I for one enjoy all difficulties it just depends on how hard my day was. Have you played the new GHOST Chronicles where you choose your difficulty? Excellent feature to have, I agree! Ana

Wow, this has some gorgeous graphics and very spooooky atmosphere! And an interesting story to go along with it. Too bad I can't play it! That bird is much to realistic and after the second caw, I was g-g-gone! Good thing BigFish Games has so many other choices ... and I'm off to find one.
