Hi,
I have been going crazy with this game. I have beaten the monkey a few times, but all I get offered is fruit, stapler, rock, etc. How do I get the compass? Was I supposed to go somewhere before I played the coconut game? When I spoke to Johnny he asks for a beacon. I'm so confused. Help! Please!
Many thanks,
Joyce

Did you do these part?
Go to Sangre Beach and talk to Johnny. He will lend his metal detector only if his compass is obtained from the notched eared monkey.

Read Sonny Joon's Field Research Notes. He noted that it is the notched ear monkey that knows the coconut throw game.

Seems you need to sail out to get Johnnys beacon first.
It's the red/orange thingie floating somewhere between two rocks - umm south? I think?
Just sail between them and Nancy will pick it up. smile

If you'd prefer a saved game to get you on the right track again, just let us know, Joyce. I understand the frustration.

Following Magtro's walkthrough I want to ask Johnny for a metal detector but it's not a conversation option. I can only ask for a battery (for the bat seeker). Am I supposed to be getting his beacon, then getting the battery and then asking for metal detector which will then involve acquiring the compass? I'm a little confused too, shy, you're not alone.

Hi aretha,

Did you read all pages of the book in the basket next to the sofa, back at the lodge?

Have you solved all 3 of the journal's cryptograms yet?

The game's non-linear, you can obtain either object first from Johnny. smile

Yes thanks, read everything and decoded. No problem, I'll do battery first. Thanks for the help.

Evening all,

I was hoping to get a save for after the monkey game. I'm crazy with coconuts! Darn monkeys are good at this game! Is my email available or do I need to do something to aid whatever kind soul takes pity on me?

Thanks,

Sarah

Bless you, MaG. I just got it! I think it's been pretty fun so far. You're the best!

Ooops, might have spoken too soon. Is there supposed to be an attachment? So sorry to bug you again.

Hi all,
I don't know if this will help someone, but I finally triggered the question to ask Johnny for the metal detector. After I got the battery by returning the beacon to him, I clicked on him to see if I could ask about the metal detector. Nothing''''' Then by chance I went into inventory and clicked on the book that we decoded and flipped through the pages. Then I clicked back on Johnny and sure enough the question about the metal detector was there. So now I'm off to the monkeys to get the compass. (I hope.)

Hello All,

I hope it's okay to use this thread? I am past the coconut and I actually hijacked another thread a few days ago, but since this one is here, thought I could use it?

Is Halfmoon Reef the same place where the sunken ship is (where chest was). I'm having a heck of time diving down and haven't seen a jelly fish yet (lots of sharks, however). Compass is SW but can't seem to figure it out. A little push would be appreciated. And if I posted on the wrong thread I apologize, just let me know and I will not do it again. : (
