Activision will be releasing a Massive Multiplayer Online game set in the Zork universe. It's unclear at this point whether the gameplay will be more puzzle-based or more action or strategy-based, but it's probably worth checking it out just for the sake of Zork Nostalgia.

Well, I've always heard about Zork but never played it. I might have to check this out. Do we have a time frame or a price structure?

According to the link Becky gave, this is an MMO, but not a RPG and it sounds like it is a very casual one. LegendsofZork.com will provide online gamers with a persistent online adventure, playable from any Internet browser. Players take up the role of a recently laid-off salesman and part-time loot-gatherer, as he explores the Great Underground Empire. Designed to provide gamers with a casual MMO game they can play on their laptop, desktop or Apple iPhone (in school, work or on the bus), there’s nothing to download, just go to www.legendsofzork.comThanks Ana for your link--I have a clearer picture now

Glad to see Zork has a future as Zork Grand Inquisitor is one of my favourite games. I'll be waiting with the rest of you to see what this will be like - given it's going to run on an iPhone it's not going to be like World of Warcraft at least.

Legends of Zork Has anyone seen this yet? I thought I'd share it even though many gamers, and especially Zork fans, may not like it. Zork was recently developed into a web-based RPG. On one hand, I think it is nice to see Zork revitalized after so long and in such a professional way but I'm not an RPG fan. I'd much rather see a traditional point and click adventure games like ZGI and ZN. I even read that a company called Nowhere Software is remaking the original trilogy into RPG games. I'm not excited about that either.
