I gotta say, I just finished Nancy Drew: Ransom of the Seven Ships and am so glad for the walkthru. Either they have hired someone who loves to program timed sequences or I am just getting old. Didn't enjoy this game as much as I thought I would. hardwall

I'm just about ready to quit this game - something I've done with only one other Nancy Drew game. I can not get past the Monkey/Coconut throwing game.

I've been trying for three days now. I don't want a saved game - if I cant' do it myself, I'd rather go on to another game. I find it especially frustrating because I don't seem to have any control over what targets I hit. If I click on a target and it goes down, I don't know if it's my coconut or the monkey's that's knocked it down.

And from reading the comments in the Help Forum, there are several other equally difficult timed puzzles ahead in the game.

I found that if I concentrated on the 3 highest score points I finally won. The star, the crab and the fruit. The timing puzzles left me frustrated. MaG's walkthru was a lifesaver. Thanks BrownEyedTiger. I hope you did better than I did. I will probably get the new Nancy Drew when it releases but it's nice to have a break right now. I am on to Memento Mori. Hope there isn't anything I need to know about that game. At least I hope I can't get killed. I hate when that happens. cry

I ended up using the walkthrough too, the puzzles were very hard and there were quite a few of them! I still enjoyed the game though, the plot was really good.
