A 4.5 score from Gamespot, although i don't trust gamespot and its reviews it's still interesting to see what they have to say about the game. Users(29) give this a 7.6 average score. Anyone played/playing this willing to give some feedback? Thanks. Gamespot Review

Sorry but I had to laugh at this one. I started to laugh after the first sentence and did not have to read further... Point-and-click adventure games aren't exactly known for their high levels of action DUH!!!

Two words: Brett Todd. The guy has it in for adventure games, and this is nothing new. More recently, he might, every once in awhile, tack on a middling score to a random game, apparently to appease detractors, but for the most part he's obviously more content to be blasting away, and so thinks you should be, too. I don't trust the site as reliable at all, myself, but then again I take all reviews with a grain of salt.

For what it's worth: I finished it (very) late last night and liked it a lot. Great story, easy controls, fantastic graphics but maybe a bit on the easy side for the puzzling bit (I actually didn't mind that, it makes a nice change NOT having to peek at a WT every 30 minutes or so)
Not in my top-ten list, but definitely an above-average, solid adventure

Well......
As long as it has no "Mini Games & No Timed Puzzles"
I will love it....I just got done with playing "Secret Files 2" NOW that is a true Adventure game... I enjoyed it very much...
BOOHOO to "Gamespot"

There's no real timed puzzles, although a few times you have to answer before a red line disappears. But it's not really hard. Just forces you to make a kind of rapid decision.

You're better off reading the Adventuregamers review http://www.adventuregamers.com/article/id,1044
Gamespot doesn't even have good screenshots for the game. Thanks for the link Jenny. Well it's official now, we should make a sticky thread where people can bet how low a score GS will give to an adventure game, the winner should be getting an adventure game collection

We should wade right in and tell them everything we think they're doing wrong? How would we feel if they did that to us? Hearing from gamers makes a difference. Hearing from an alternate website I don't think would.

I doubt that even hearing from gamers makes a difference, ever since i can remember most of the adventure games coming out are always getting quite low scores on GS compared to other sites. People can also rate a game on gamespot and almost 10/10 times the score given by the players is higher than that of gamespot, and yet the trend continues.

I think the GS reviewer is writing the review for the action and shooter types of gamers that make up the bulk of his readers and they will be glad to have his opinion from THEIR point of view. They want their needs to be met, not ours! Who can blame them?
To love is to be happy with!

sierramindy,
If you notice my post was a reply to Butchers post talking about the Gamespot review.
It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

I don't usually like action games,I do play a role playing game however. Don't need ordination though, just have to click on skill buttons and character does the slashing, or shooting (arrows) or spell casting.
Currently Playing: Adventure Game: Broken Age Darkside: Star Wars: The Old Republic

A great way to contribute is to write reader/player reviews and post them at Gamespot or Amazon or other similar venues. I think reader/player reviews are very influential. I know I read them a lot and find that several player reviews are more informative than one professional review. I see a lot of reviews by players at Amazon that seem to be hardcore adventure gamers. But not nearly so many at Gamespot. Maybe it's time we adventure gamers "take back" Gamespot?
