Am stuck in the place where the girl is at a control and must turn, navigate steps, walk a bit, climb into a bucket all in a timed action. Have been trying for weeks to do so but since keyboard and mouse not an easy type game for me plus have arthritic hands - both of which are causing me problems here.

Might anyone have a saved game past this point? Would appreciate.

I think I remember that URU won't allow you use other people's saved games. Sorry

If all the people were heroes, there would be no one to watch the parades.

pdcagirl if you send your game to dadguy he can probably do it for you and send it back. That can be a very difficult part of the game to master. It took me a long time to do as well. Good Luck!

I have never been able to share saves with URU. We have tried, exchanging all of the files, but it has never worked. We are not sure why. Probably because it was designed as an online game where your game information is maintained in a game vault at the main servers. You would think it would be possible with the offline game, but not for me.

My best suggestion is to understand the challenge, try changing to 1st person view (F1 key as suggested above) and relax. Remember that you have to move fast so running is better. Practice several times, before pulling the lever, to run down the stairs and turn right, run four steps to the bucket and click the bucket.

Good luck!!

Dadguy

Oh gosh i remember this in the dvd game...was so difficult for me (as were lots of the timed things in this game..but i just loved the exploration and story and graphics i kept plugging away..Never got to finish it)..by sheer luck (after WEEKS) i finally managed this part but just don't know how i did it! I sure wish you the best!!! Did you get the full game?=Myst/Uru Complete Chronicles ? Otherwise you'll need to buy/or download (if still possible) the 2 other expansions for it. Dadguy is THE one to help with this and the other Myst games too!

Thanks to all for the encouragement and ideas. Will try that F1 key and see how I do. And will also practice as much as I can to see if I can get by that part. Hope there are not many such in this game - do love it as I have all the Myst games.

Keep you all posted. And re the discs I have - one set is called Ages Beyond Myst and the other is called The Complete Chronicles. Now are they different? Will have to see which I installed. Just noted I have installed The Complete Chronicles. What is the other game like, any one know, called Ages Beyond Myst?

Let us know how you do PDCAGirl!

Complete Chrinicles is a three part URU series that includes:

1. URU - Ages Beyond Myst
2. URU - To D'ni
3. URU - The Path of the Shell

So, you did well to install Complete Chronicles, and you now can play right through all three games.

Have fun!

Dadguy

I am so angry that I cannot continue as suggested. My PC was in the tech shop for a non bootable problem. They fixed the re installing a new motherboard and just neglected to check everything out re operation. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

So when PC went in I could access the CD Roms - when it came back, I could not. So cannot continue the game until I get this fixed.

Grrrrr is right! They should have done a better job, but hopefully they'll fix it all up without any "start from scratch" install business.

Good luck!

Dadguy :-)
