Hi,

I am at the part where you have to use the ladder on the scaffolding to get onto the roof. I have the ladder from the stone building and I am underneath the scaffolding looking up and I can see the action gears but when I try to click the ladder on them they are not there any more. I've tried it from all angles but nothing works. What am I doing wrong?

Mave, go to the Living room and check the messages on the phone. There is one from Tommy Harris about stopping working and a ladder they left.

I did that but when I listened to them I realised I had already done that when I first arrived. It hasn't made any difference I still can't get the ladder up. Do you think it's a bug?

The action cursor (not the look cursor) here is a bit difficult to locate.

Try the cursor wither to the very top or midway - one of them is the one that places the ladder; the other one is the info cursor.

I can see the mechanical curser when I look up without the ladder but when I get the ladder out of inventory it's not there anymore. I've tried clicking inch by inch up and down right and left but it doesn't light up anywhere.

One thought - you should have 2 ladders in inventory, see which one you are using.

Oh dear I've only got one a stepladder. Where is the other one?

If it is labeled stepladder, that is the one for the boiler room taken from the unfinished dining room.

This means that you haven't gotten the ladder left by the carpenters hanging in the ceiling of the stone building.
