Desktop in shop for repairs so have installed this game on laptop to play.

Have done everything by following Universal Hint System notes and yet when I go to leave cannot get the conversation going with the policeman at the door. When I click on the conversation bubble, all I get is Conversation Ended in the notes.

Also I see that when I open the Journal to the page that lists tasks accomplished, it is completely blank.

What have I missed in this game? Want to continue but cannot leave the dance studio until something else is done. Cannot figure out what that something is.

Hi pdcagirl,

Check that you have taped the fingerprint to a piece of paper.
Have you collected and bagged all other evidence, and searched the desk drawers? Make sure to right-click everything in inventory to examine it thoroughly.

luck

Thanks Rushes will follow through your suggestions. Think it might be I missed the fingerprint on a piece of paper and taped there.

Nope have taped the fingerprint to paper, have 5 photographs, have right clicked everything and talked with policeman and still cannot leave the dance studio. Do not know what else to do. I know when I installed this game, at the very end of the installation, it said could not find some file to install. Wondering if this is the reason I cannot do some things?

Would it hurt to reinstall over the game already installed to see if that missing file will be added?

Thanks, Chief.

That's most likely it, pdcagirl - you need to have taken 6 photos in this location.

That is strange - Two WTs I checked only mention five. Have tried the camera on everything, every hot spot and keep getting message that "no can do". Have two pics of the body, pic of fingerprint, of the cross on the window, the floor board - that makes five.

I tried again taking pictures of everything else and again it was a "no go". Can you tell me what the sixth picture might be? I am certainly missing something here.

--------------
Ah ha - FINALLY found out what was wrong! I did take a picture of the plank in the floor before I bagged it, but for some reason it did not register. So when I re-read a WT, it said a picture of the plank could be taken inside the plastic bag if one was not secured before when plank was on the floor.

Maybe this happens sometimes when trying to take a picture of that plank and so suggesting it could be done when plank was in the bag if one had not done it before was sure helpful.

So ready now to proceed.

Oh did not know about that - and will remember to do so from now on.

Am stuck again. In the dressing room of the Moulin Rouge theater. 2 WTs say once inside in the basement of the theater where the clothes are hanging in the hall, to go to bottom of screen and use keys on the door at the left. Have tried all day to find that door but there is simple none on my screen in the game. Is this a glitch or what am I missing here?

Have found several spots where WTs say this or that is supposed to be at a certain place and it is not - have to hunt for the place which is not where WTs say it will be. What am I missing or are there patches to this game?

Not sure I have done the editing part right for this post - do hope so.
