So I'm replaying Post Mortem (haven't played it in about three years, so it's been really fun) and have just opened the secret passage in the cult leader (it is way too late at night for me to be able to spell his name right, haha)'s study. The only problem is, it goes nowhere.

I consulted a walkthrough and apparently it's supposed to go to an alchemy room...but there isn't one in sight. I read a little before my problem in the walkthrough and discovered that talking to Mrs. Loiseau might unlock it, but everytime I go to her she is "too tired." Grrr.

Can anyone help me? If things get really bad I might end up needing a saved game after entering the alchemy room, but I'm sort of determined to not have to resort to that.

That's odd, you should be able to go straight to the alchemy area after opening the secret passage.

From KD's walkthrough:

When date is entered, pull the lever, and hopefully you’ll see a small cut scene and a secret door opens. Needless to say, that’s the way we’re going.
You’ll end up in a crypt. First thing to do is head right. There is an alchemy set on a bench here.

If it still isn't accessible, perhaps someone who has played the game recently will be able to remember the trigger.

When you enter the secret room, go down the stairs.
I think you veer right as soon as you reach the bottom wall.

I'm on vacation with my other computer right now, but will try that as soon as I get home.
