I think it's pretty amazing to note how Jonathan's environments and characters have improved from game to game. Not that the original's backgrounds didn't have their own, rustic charm - each was a work of art and I loved every screen, and I think it was the limited resolution that didn't do them justice - but these new shots are exquisitely eerie! thumbsup

What really scares me is what will happen if I have to wait much longer to play this. grin

Maybe I should do that soon.

Same here, AnneG; this thread brings to my mind that I got Ghost In The Sheet (another creepy game) for Xmas a couple of yrs ago, but have never played it, let alone opened the box and installed it. Don't know if I'll do this in Oct., I've got a pile of computer-related things to accomplish though. *Sigh*

Still, this game tugs at my soul - but I hope there'll be no combat required of the player during gameplay.

Wow--what a dive! Those screenshots look really creepy. Looks like Jonathan has done it again. The atmosphere in his games is amazing. This one's at the top of my must-play list.

I was in the middle of playing it when Hurricane Wilma hit. The game was sitting on my computer desk and the window next to the desk had a tree go through it and everything on the desk was ruined. I just bought a new copy a few weeks ago. I can finally finish it now!

I need to finish Ghost in the Sheet, too. Thanks for reminding me. blush lol

Just to stay on topic: I can't wait to play Dark Fall: Lost Souls.

I clicked on the link above, decided I wanted to buy the directors cut of Lights out. When I clicked on store I am only finding downloads. Does anyone know if the directors cut comes in a box? smile

I bought the limited pins and needles edition. It has a DVD with both Dark-Fall-games, walkthroughs, a collection of ghost-story that inspired Jonathan Boakes and a soundtrack in a slim DVD-case.
It is availible from darkling room and will be shipped everywhere in the world.
Definitely a must-have, with the autogramm of Jonathan Boakes!

Whoa, this looks very scary and totally awesome! Didn't Jonathon say we'd have to use the scissors stuck in the wall? I wonder if it's to kill the leech thing. Of course there's also what looks like an old fashioned men's razor.

I haven't played Lights Out, but I played Darkfall. Darkfall was pretty good and this Lost Souls looks right up my alley with those screenshots; dark and creepy.

So I went to the website and ordered the "Pins and Needles" Edition of Darkfall: Classic and Lights Out: Directors Cut with the music soundtrack and a couple of extras.

Wanted to make sure I got to play Lights out before i played the newest one and will revisit Darkfall if I have a chance.
