I don't care for the adventure games that feature search and find puzzles, the ones that have a dozen or so hidden items on a crowded page. I would rather have a true mystery, which needs to be solved by logic puzzles; maybe even one which is sort of scary. (not gory) Thanks

Have you played Phantasmagoria, Blackstone Chronicles or Sanitarium? They are pretty scary. The 7th guest is similar to Shivers. It has a lot of puzzles.

What about the Myst series? I thought Shivers 1 was just great...didn't care for #2.. Seems like Shivers 1 is in a class by itself. Have you played the Jonathan Boakes games?? He is very good at creating 'atmosphere' and that was something i noticed in Shivers1..it had some 'atmosphere'! (in my opinion anyway).
