Hey Soren...how are ya? Sorry I missed helping you on the gardener/farmer question. There is also a level where you can add a workshop. This feature will also provide you with a worker. Also, a temple which provides a priest to banish evil in your houses.
BTW ~ when you need lots of happiness, always sandwich a garden or bazaar between lots where you can add houses. Bazaars add +20 happiness and when you have a gardener on the scene you are able to raise your houses to level 4 which adds +20 happiness to upgrsded villas, mansions and palaces and adds +10 to other dwellings.
