Hi, hamer
According to Becky's, Review & Quote..
This might help you.
" I can’t help thinking that Heaven was originally designed as a challenging puzzle game, and that the compass and Axis’ hints were added to aid gamers who aren’t experienced adventure gamers"

Thank you very much Becky, it was very nice to read. I guess the "Hebrew letters" puzzle would be very easy for me since that's my language :-)
Still - I'm definitely not buying it, at least not anytime soon.
There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.

Sounds like the beautiful environment makes this game worthwhile. Thanks for a very informative review Becky.

Hi Becky I feel you are being particularly charitable in allowing this game the description "Adventure" But then it's good that we all have our different opinions or the game world would rapidly become a very boring place Cheers. Mad

Not having played the game yet I can't comment on anything technical or plot based, but as a healthy red blooded american male of consenting age, I have to say I'm SURE I'm going to have a problem with trying to get into the whole 'being in Heaven' thing while there's this blonde bombshell prancing about in a push-up corset and a skirt that looks more like a thick belt than an actual skirt. I mean, c'mon, that chick looks like she stepped off the cover penthouse!

Like a lot of what I've been seeing on TV lately, there's just too much bright, high-contrast, stark white coming at me (like an attack)... and that flashing... OUCH! It's like looking directly into the sun. From what I've seen in a trailer, it's a very harsh-looking, metallic place. If I were going to create a heavenly place, it'd be softer, gentler, & easier on the eyes... a place I could enjoy the quiet company of pets & other nice things. This game's just not my cup of tea.

Whoo hoo! Congratulations Becky, others may dis-agree and that is their right, but I agree with everything you wrote in the review. In fact if there were an award given for reviews I would give you an award for the best review! I am playing the game now and find it so very beautiful. As for the outfit the guide wears, I don't find anything offensive about it at all. Since I have heard from those who have seen the other side no woman ages past 25 and who says just cause you go to Heaven a woman isn't looking her prettiest. I hope my makeup is permanently on there! long lashes without mascara, hair styled without using curlers, I hope Paul will do a sequel and put more dialogue tree's in it, where we meet more people, and free to explore all the nooks and crannies of Heaven. Make the characters have various tales how they died and got there, perhaps the plot they want to return and help someone. I have to admit I don't usually like all puzzle games, getting to know the characters personalities is part of an adventure. It would be great to see this in Heaven 2 sequel. I sure would buy it. One thing though please don't make it 360 degree view Axis, kind of makes me queasy sometimes. Probaby won't bother alot of people because I am very sensitive to the way a mouse pans the camera motion. Anyway I love Heaven,in more than one way and Becky's review says it all. When I am stuck I read Oldmariner's walkthrough. Thanks John for the Walthrough I have needed it .

I can't help but to dig up this old thread when I just saw another review of this game posted at Adventure Classic Gaming. http://www.adventureclassicgaming.com/index.php/site/reviews/562/I am curious why it took that site so long to review this game. The review is very much inline with Becky's opinion about the game and a lot less polarized than those on other sites. Even so, there are so few game sites that chose to review this game. It seems that this is one title that fits the old saying, "either you really like it or your really hate it." What do you think?

DaveHT -- it's difficult to review a game that is controversial. Considering that there are games that scarcely get reviewed at all by "mainline" sites (most of the casual games, for instance), I think the adventure community is doing a good job in reviewing this one, and giving different types of reviewer reactions to it.
