I am only on Chapter 3. I have already been to the temple and I have come back to talk to my adopted Father. I go through the courtyard and enter the house. I see a door to my left and I get the hand signal and click but when I actually get to that door I cannot go farther. No hand signal, nothing. I have restarted this game twice; thinking I must have missed a step but I cannot imagine what. I can't get to the roof. Help...someone....anyone. (I hope I am posting this right, I have read all the instructions so if I have screwed up, I apologize and you can smack me....lightly)

I was reviewing Witchen's walkthrough and I don't see a hand signal in Chapter 3 - here.
Can you review that walkthrough and see if it helps. Keep us posted.

Thanks. That did the trick. I looked at two other walkthroughs and I would never have found that staircase to the roof. I tried to get right back to you the night you sent this but the forum was closed for maintenance. Thanks so much. Now, I am like everyone else...at the drums and trying to figure out how to do that.

I think there's a bypass here: While the drums puzzle is up - keep on pressing the ESC key. Then you'll be allowed to moved on. Try that and see.

I kept putting off the drums but finally today I tried what you said about the esc key and it worked.
Now I have spoken to the Nubian, found my adopted Father has died and met Mi. I realize I have no beer to make the remedy with and wander into and open door; thinking it is the tavern...it is not. I try to walk back out the door and get the finger pointer but can't go out the door. I am not even real sure where I am.
