MDNA Games announces “ Black Circle: A Carol Reed Mystery ”. The game is the sixth installment in the Carol Reed series, following “Remedy”, “Hope Springs Eternal”, “Time Stand Still”, ”East Side Story”, and “The Colour of Murder”.




A short demo for the game will be released soon.

Minimum requirements:
Pentium 1000 or higher, 128 MB RAM, 16 MB video card, 800 MB free hard drive space, Win 98, but XP or Vista is recommended. The game runs in 1024 x 768 resolution.

The game will be produced by Mersom Games and is expected to be released in the first half of November 2009.

For many, many months, I've been checking the MDNA page, only to find the 5-title version.
Am 'on cloud 9' now that there's a new title on it. BAAGS list just got 1 title longer.

I don't know what it is but my malware blocker treats MDNA Games and Big Finish Games sites as malicious. I have to turn off the ISP blocker to go to them. It doesn't have a problem with Big Fish though.

The "Carol Reed Games" are my personal Favorites, for many reasons.

Immersive. I have the feeling of 'being there', exploring real places, and solving believable stories.
"no violence or foul language"
"no action sequences or timed puzzles"
"suitable for ages 11 and up"

this is great news. I have all Carol Reed games and have played them several times. I can hardly wait for this one. saw the screenshots and my favourite tattooman is here again.

In the spirit of "bound to be wrong speculations" that I never can resist about these games:

There are lots of paintings in the screenshots, even two paintings in front of that blocked off door. The gardener appears to be sitting in front of a painting of The Last Supper. I hope this doesn't mean that this is his last date with Carol?

Plenty of intriguing ruins to explore too. I wonder where that will fit in. I think my favorite is the one with the green water and the ladders floating in it.

Why does the name "Linnea" sound so familiar? (From the Villa Linnea in one of the last screenshots.)

EDIT: I think the name is familiar from this children's book, Linnea in Monet's Garden.
