Hey everybody.
It's not exactly a review so I didn't think it belongs to the review section, but if it is just put it there, mods

Just wanted to say I was really positively surprised with "Shivah". A few days ago a download of it was freely released (since it was "Yom Kipur", which is a jewish "holiday" (it's not really a holiday) ). So I figured "why not" and downloaded it, although judging by the graphics I figured it would probably be a very simple game.
Indeed the graphics are simple, and the game is kind of short, but: the plot, dialouges and characters, although not too complex, are really really authentic and believable. The game's puzzles are kind of hard but worthwhile and logical.
For those of you concerned about "preaching" (like I was with Heaven), it's got nothing of it, I think. It tells a simple story of a rabbi in NYC who's got involved in a story that belongs to a very different world than his. The rabbi is actually a pretty arrogant and proud jew, but soon enough the player finds that his beliefs and principals have led him to do things he sort of regrets.
I think it's a very mature game, despite it's simplesness.
I strongly recommend it - I enjoyed it! (took me about 5 hrs, with the help of boomers here...)
Have fun :-)
Tomer.
