Very interesting. Is this an episodic game? What is the release format and pricing?

Not episodic per-se, but Static: IT is a relatively short game; and we have at least one followup game planned.

Release will be digital download for the PC platform; with other platforms potential but released later.

Price will be $9.95

Please forgive me for asking this. I seem to have trouble finding screenshots for this game on the site. Did I miss something here?

If this is to be a FMV game (very ambitious one), does the mechanic follow a Tex Murphy like game or a Carol Reed Mystery like game?

Glad to hear you like our developer blog, we'll be doing more as the weeks roll on; but truth be told we're swamped trying to get this out

You trouble in finding screenshots or any actual 'game' info is completely intentional; right now the only info available is that of the video blog of Julie Masters one of two paranormal investigators you'll guide in Static: Investigator Training


However, as we roll near to Halloween the demo will become available and with it in-game materials; screenshots, gameplay videos etc.

Static: IT covers the paranormal investigation of the Houghton Mansion in North Adams, Massachusetts USA

You assume the role of Julie Masters a novice paranormal investigator who joins Berkshire Paranormal and is tasked with documenting any phenomena within the Mansion.

This isn't a 'FMV' per-se, while it does contain a lot of video sequences; it is character based, such as in Phantasmagoria; if you've played it.

Live actors and voice was a big feature for us; ever since I played Phantasmagoria in the mid-90's I knew I wanted to do a live action game at some point.

WOW! How cool is that, and your warm fuzzy feeling of soulmates is adorable. This is my kind of game! Ghostbusters here I come! LOL

Had a very productive weekend on Static: IT

Brought the whole crew to the Houghton Mansion to do some final shooting for the intro and some last minute photos.

Jacki and I worked non-stop through the weekend on the Demo; which is just about finished; you can expect to see it on www.staticgame.com this week.

Now if we could just pencil in some sleep ;D

Hehe thankfully we did get some sleep last night; We spent 7 hours straight on the Demo; sent a preliminary off to testers; should be able to finish it up tonight
