Hi, Collector!

Well, color me clueless blush ! Since there actually was a Win98SE, I thought maybe Microsoft had come out with VistaSE and I missed it.

I've only been using Vista for a couple of weeks but, so far, I've run into one problem that may or may not be related to the operating system.

I posted in another thread that I'm playing my first game since buying my new computer (Still Life 2) and, every so often, the game minimizes to the taskbar and up pops IE displaying the google search engine even though my default browser is SeaMonkey and my default home page is GAMEBOOMERS. Before I start playing again, I'm going to uninsall and reinstall the game to see if that fixes the problem. If not, I'll wait until my new game arrives to see if the same thing happens with that.

Susan

Just an update on Shivers 2 on Windows 7. I'm about half-way through and it has played perfectly so far. I did have to figure out which game icon to click on to start it to make sure I got the one with the installer that fixes the panning issues etc.

Hi, Draclvr!

Thanks for the update! I'm really looking forward to receiving my Windows 7 upgrade from Microsoft so I can replay it myself.

No need to wait. Jafa's installer will work with XP/Vista and I am assuming Windows 7.

Sorry, but I don't have any of those games.

Someone asked if Ceville works on Vista. I loaded and have played about half way through with no problem. I play on Vista 32.

Becky, I have played Memento Mori and Tales of Monkey Island on Win 7. Both work beautifully. smile

This may help someone. For those that use Razer products (mice, keyboards, sound card), it's been announced that Razer will soon release Windows 7 drivers for their products. I use a Razer Barracuda sound card, & this is a piece of good news for the inevitable switch to Windows 7.

The announcement can be seen: Here
