I just came from Oberon's website where I downloaded & was about to install Ghost Town Mysteries - Bodie when I noticed that by installing this game I agree to install Gamesbar with Yahoo Search & set Oberon as my homepage. Usually there is the option to decline but not this time. I contacted Oberon's support to ask if this is new policy & that I would cancel my GameSaver membership if it is. I like Oberon & know that Ana & others on GameBoomers like them too but I hope they aren't trying to force something on us we don't want. Has anyone heard anything about this?

I have downloaded from Oberon with no Gamesbar and nothing else. Let us know what they say.

Someone the other day posted in the Agatha Christie thread they had the IPlay tool bar installed and IPlay homepage set as default when installing a game from IPlay - which is the casual games section of Oberon Media.

Someone else posted a screenshot that showed there was a deselect box to not install the toolbar powered by Oberon when installing the game from Iplay.

I have never purchased from Oberon/Iplay but I wonder if you can download your purchase from either site?

I also noticed when I went to the Oberon Media site I had about 5 of those doubleclick pop up ads come up- Iplay does that too. I find those sites with the intrusive pop up ads annoying.

I still have not heard from their Support. I have bought several games from Oberon when BigFish didn't have them & I never had a problem. The option to decline the Gamesbar & Yahoo was always there. Now they even want you to make Oberon your homepage. I tried a different game in case it was just a fluke but had the same result. No option to decline!
