Hi all!

I am playing Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the ripper at the moment and I am stuck at the second murder. I can´t investigate the blood on the fence above the corpse or the blood behind the door.
Is there any solution to this?
When I click on the magnifying glass on the blood, the screen goes to the dead body instead of telling me anything about the blood.
I have the latest drivers downloaded to my graphics card Geforce 6800GT.

All help I can get is valuable. smile

I'm pretty sure is not a bug. You just have not performed all needed actions. For this type of help, post in ADVENTURE GAME HINTS & HELP

Thanks, Robert and Ana.

Hi Saftsvalle, try clicking on the blood stains when you're already in close-up view of the body, rather than standing back. I think that's the trick. luck

Yes it's a Hints problem. Those two hotspots were hard to find. The one on the fence was very small. I think the hotspot behind the door was from a close-up, but I don't think it was from the close-up of the whole body. Marita might remember better than I do.

edit:
(The walkthrough says click on the body, then the head to get the pool of blood hotspot.)

Thank you for all your help. It is much appreciated.

Here is from the walkthrough:
See the covered body of Annie Chapman.

Area around the body:

Click on blood on the wall beside the body.

Click on blood under the door and above the head of Annie.

Take the piece of envelope by right hand of the body. It has 3 pills. Holmes took one pill.

Click the arranged comb and then click on the muslin at the foot of the body.

Click on the ground right leg of the body.

Body: Remove the cover from the body. Watson gets upset.

Watson calculated that the murder occurred before 4:30 AM.

Head: Use the magnifying lens on tongue.

Use the magnifying lens on 2 incisions on neck.

Use the magnifying lens on 2 bruises on her face.

Abdomen: Click on cut in abdomen and learn that the uterus is missing.

Hand: Click on her left hand and see a close up. Use the lens on middle finger to note that it is missing rings.

I have done everything, but clicking on the blood on the wall beside the body and click on blood under the door and above the head of Annie. When I click the magnifying glass I come to the examine body screen, and the magnifying glass is not turning green.

Now I have spent another 30minutes to try to click on the blood, but no success so far.

As Rushes stated, it is the pint of view that would get you to find the hotspot.
So look close or move around until you find that hotspot. luck

You should be able to find the hotspot on the wall.
It's just small, and I don't think it appeared when you used the spacebar.

In the beta version, there was a problem on at least some widescreen monitors with the hotspot near the head being offscreen, out of the field of view. The fix was to edit a file so the field of view encompassed more area. I'm not sure if this was corrected in the final version of the game.

Dear Jenny100, MaG, Rushes!

I have now managed to click on the blood.

The solution was to turn wide-screen on, in the options menu. I think this is odd, because i have a 4:3 monitor.

Now I am able see the blood on the fence and above the victims head, which I couldn´t before.

Thank you all for the help, you are all so kind and helpful.

Mysterious, isn't it -- and interesting that it can happen on a 4:3 monitor.
Well I'm glad you found it at last. I only needed to change the screen for the blood near the head, but I wasted a lot of time looking for something that wasn't appearing on my screen.
