I'm very happy to announce this new game for 2 reasons:the first one is that is developed by a group of nice and talented Italians as myself, and the second one is that the stories are freely adapted from the books of Valerio Evangelisti, an italian author that I'm particularly fond of (I read all his books). Nicolas Eymerich, Inquisitor is an ambitious project created by Koala Games-Gruppo Armonia and Imagimotion, and "The Plague" will be the first chapter of a trilogy that will take Eymerich to combat the most ancient of evil, in the heart of medieval towns full of history and mystery, crossing different spatial and temporal planes. Here's the story: 1364: Nicolas Eymerich arrives in Carcassonne, the city of the Inquisition, where he is ordered to investigate what happened in a distant village in the South of France, a territory infested with the heresy of the Cathari. The Catholic Church has lost its influence and power there. This is evident with the congregation of the Dominicans towards the Cistercians in particular. Ill-omened signs have shown themselves. Eymerich must investigate. He perceives immediately that truth has been only partially revealed; he then manages to disclose it thanks to his investigation within the fortress, and to his acts of strength and brightness. However, There is something more. The nauseating smell of Satan is well perceived.
That’s why Eymerich takes the power away from the abbot and becomes the Grand Inquisitor, while strange and obscure signs appear on the horizon. The village is tormented by a terrible presence, appearing on the last solstice of Summer, causing deformed fetuses and propagating the plague. A plague even more terrible than the one that decimated the known world just 20 years before. The journey is becoming more and more deadly and dangerous, an infernal nightmare. Madness and heresy have united, forests are on fire hiding monstrous creatures created by the ancient pagan myths, and the Cistercian castle has turned into an impregnable fortress where large stakes burn. None of that will stop Eymerich, he will eventually arrive to what is both cause and symptom of this pandemonium. You can read everything about Eymerick, who was really a spanish inquisitor born in 1320, in the OFFICIAL SITE, where you can see the first artworks and meet the characters, some exclusive artworks are also in our gallery HERE. The game is planned for Q4 2010 ,and the first trailer will be released very soon, together with more info's about the gameplay.

The story sounds interesting, and the screens. The monsters look scary, but no problem as long as I can fight them using wits. lol Thanks Carla.

That's good [And thanks for the info, Carla ] I do prefer a game " in one go", though. Episodes are not my personal favourite because sometimes the wait between episodes can get to be way too long

Yep. They'll make you wait, and then, when you least expect it...'cause Nobody expects the Eymerich Inquisition! (Sorry. Someone had to say it. *silly-walks out of thread*)
