hi all ive been playing this part for a while im at the coin part but i cant figure out which way to turn the arrows to put the coins in if you can please help me that would be great

Have you checked the walkhrough here.

It states: The twelve coins that were found in the garden are displayed at the side of the screen. The dials are rotated by selecting the left or right arrow in the middle of the dial. Coins are placed into the exposed slot at the bottom of the dial. Select the journal to see clues on the twelve characters that are mentioned on the coins. The character on the coin should represent the image displayed below the dial. For example, the clue for Artemis is "Hunts only by moonlight", so this coin should be placed into the slot where the owl symbol is displayed.

You see images on the square below the big cirle.
You then select the appropriate coin (found at side of the screen) at the bottom of the big circle. Your coin should be encircled by that metal.

Then turn the arrow for the next image.
