So there is no credit card logo under the payment details?

Nope except for the words Payment details its completely blank. This is like torture knowing a new Jonathan game is out and not being able to get my hands on it!!!!

Oh and BTW- now on GamersGate is says Lost Souls is no longer available!

I just went to GamersGate and it's no longer available to. They must be having a lot of trouble with the game. I hope I didn't loose the 30 dollars I spent on the game that won't run.

I'm sure they will make good on your purchase and refund the money or give you credit Richard. They may not be very good on customer service but I don't think they are scammers.

For what it's worth kjos, I'm in the same boat. Although I'm frustrated by my inability to access the game, I would echo Tigre's thoughts on GamersGate. I'm sure they will handle things in an ethical fashion. I simply wish they would communicate with those that have already made purchases so we would understand what is going on. What I honestly suspect is this: the activation problems have been widespread, quite possibly amongst everyone that has bought the game from GamersGate so far. Since they're aware that the game can't be activated, they've pulled the game temporarily to avoid having more customers buy the game and encounter the same problem. This may be something they have to iron out with Securom to make sure that they have correct Serials to provide to customers for game activation. Problem is, that may take a bit of time. For the time being, I'm working on being patient. Worst case, I'll seek a refund, which is something I'm pretty certain they would honor.

I am dying to play this game, but I just don't like downloading them, especially after reading all the problems people have had downloading it.

I want to have the physical game/box/disc in my hands so I can delete it and re-install it as many times as I want.

I know there are no current plans for this game to be available in brick and mortor stores, so I may never get to play it. What a shame
- I hope this situation changes.

It;s listed by Amazon UK as being released on Friday as a disc and after reading this thread it makes me even more against downloads

Most of us playing now have downloaded from The Adventure Shop - banner at top of page. We didn't have problems. I finished the game yesterday.

I ordered the download version of this game from GamersGate yesterday and I am in the same boat as you. I am frustrated, too because at first a had so much trouble to download this game yesterday. After some experiences to download the game I finally was able to download it today. But now, when I try to install the game by the install.exe-file (launch-file) I get the message from my virus scanner (GData) that a virus was found which named: Gen:Trojan.Heur.r. GZ@XYaTLK. So I can’t install the game. A friend of mine wanted to download this game too, but it is not listed anymore on the site of gamersgate. Then I tried to download and to install the game on the PC of my son. The download worked but when he has to give in my serial number (or code number) that did not work. I only hope, that he did not get a virus like a Trojan on his PC because he doesn’t have the same virus program as I have.

We sent the launch-file to Virustotal.com to check this file. The result was, that six further virus scanner found a virus. (Is this file contaminated now with viruses?) I wanted to play the game this weekend, but now it is not possible. I am very disappointed and frustrated. I think my next my next step is to contact Paypal and ask them for my money back, too.

That's a relief. We should get refunds hopefully!

Hope you're using EI 7 or 8 and not Firefox. I love Firefox but have many problems with sites (especially on-line purchasing sites) that use active server pages (.asp) to process input. Gotta use MS [blip] for asp code. Not so for java or PHP.

It certainly sounds like GamersGate have let us all down. How disappointing. I will be in touch with them, with a letter. In the mean time, The Adventure Shop looks like the best option, and I've heard Impulse are very good too. Links are on the official website: http://www.darkfallgames.com

Just wanted to let ya know that I bought the game (box and all) at Interact CD for $34.95. It should be mailing out soon, i think they gave the date as Dec. 8th.

So you might not have to download afterall!

I checked my email this morning and found a reply from GamersGate support indicating that the activation issue had been corrected and instructing me to activate the game using the Serial I had already received when I downloaded the game. I did and the game activated without a hitch. I spent twenty happy minutes wandering around the train tunnel getting thoroughly creeped out before getting ready to head to work. Hopefully, everyone else that purchased from GamersGate will be able to get their copies working now.

It sounds like they fixed the problem then! Thanks for letting us know.

I got the same E-mail from GamersGate to, the game installed just fine. I have a lot of catching to do now. Thanks

I just wanted to note that while I got the same email, I had already purchsed the game from TAS - I just HAD to have it! I wrote back to support requesting a refund and they responded to my request in less than a day, with my refund!

I just thought it would be good to share the good news. I'll continue to use GG, as they have proven that they stand behind their service.

I had the same email :-) talking to Jonathan I don't think I will be using GG again though
