I mean I'm on the one with Stormwind - the Eastern Kingdom, but aren't some of you on the Western?

Misslilo I saw that you were in the Deadmines, so I didn't whisper you. It's hard to fight and talk at the same time.

Yes, we all need to be on-line at the same time and meet somewhere. I say Stormwind would be a good place to meet.

I agree with everything mentioned so far!
Karen, that's why you didn't see us and vice-versa. Your new toon is a Horde. Check the last 3 or 4 posts on the old thread.

HI L4L Thanks for starting the new WoW thread thanks
that last one I started was getting veryyyy long! :lol12:
I've been talking with Asha when I'm playing my
Draenel-Shaman lvl 12 he's been playing his Draenel
too to help me out, he said after the holidays & after he has
the Bear would be a better time to start the WoWW Guild.
I'm gonna use my Night Ellf-Hunter lvl 22- Herbalism/Alchemy
named Kreeye~

I've been playing my Ally toons but I must be playing at
different times then you, I've been playing in the early
afternoon's & real late at night, and you guys are all at
least an hour or two ahead of slow poke me so that is
prolly why I haven't seen you.
Does anyone know of a good site to read up on Guilds?
my manual doesn't really sy a whole lot about them?
I don't think I' know enough or am a good enough
player to play with all you guys, you guys are sooooo
great and know what your doing and I don't. I feel
like I would bog you down with my stumbling around duh

Thanks for the help Linda! you still have snow? we might
get some in the next couple days! :happydance12: YEAH!!
I'm so Happy your gonna use Pipendelly she's GGGreat!!!!
I think Stormwind would be the perfect place for us all
to meet too Linda~

Karen~

Hi Karen!
That's good! I'm glad you're having fun! I agree with Asha'man.
Linda's helped me a lot, too.
Guilds are nothing to worry about, and we're all learning new stuff every day! You will do just fine! It's a way to communicate easier and share everything while helping each other. I can contribute some gold too for the bank. One of my other toons, Bronoreen, is a miner and jewelcrafter and she makes good money.

Yeah, don't worry about being good Karen - I too am a total newbie and learn as I go smile

I've read so much about Instances, but it wasn't until I dived into the deadmines and found this glowing in an opening I found out was it was, lol.

As for Gold - I only only have 1 gold, so can't contribute with much right now, sorry.

Karen, Guilds are just whatever you want to make of them.

Some are focused only on raiding, some are leveling guild, and some are purely social. It's just a group of people who get along together.

I expect our guild will be social/leveling--we can help each other out with quests and instances. The only way to learn is by doing--If you never do it, you never learn. Trust me, I slow down every instance I do with my kids---"wait, don't leave me----eeek, I'm being attacked--help. " :rotfl12:

Having a bank tab will give us a place to put "extras." For instance, sometimes you have to make an item to level up but you don't need it--you can put one or two in the bank for other players to take. Or you might get a potion that is too low for you, etc---in the bank it goes and when another guild player needs it, they take it out.

I play whenever I have time, but since Winterveil has been running, I've been playing on BB with my Horde chasing a title. Son finished up my last achievement for me last night since I was in the car taking daughter back to FL, so now I'm Merrymaker Owlheart over there :happydance12:

Missilo, don't worry about contributing--I have a feeling we will be an easy and fun guild.

Being in a guild though will make it easier to run instances as we will have a pool of people who might want to run with us.

the Veiled sea!! took me a longggg swim to
find a place to get back on land :rotfl12:
Don't feel bad missalo I only have one gold too and I
owe two gold to a nice friend who loaned it to me so
I'm in the hole now I'm broke just like in real life lol

A question about Bags.

Right now we only have.. um 5 slots for bags - will that change when we get more levels?
(not talking about bank slots here)

And what is the largest bag you can get?
Where is the best place to find bag - either by buying or looting?

Karen, just remember guilds are about helping each other. That's the main goal if it's done right. I belonged to some guilds that were just too full of drama, but we aren't going to be like that.
We can store materials in the guild bank to help crafters and sell extras in the bank to make money. Some guilds help you buy your first mounts and fix your armor, etc. Some hold lotteries to give away gold once a week. We can schedule one or more days a week to do runs through instances together. See, there's lots of neat things about guilds among them helping others learn. So, don't worry we're here to support each other and it will be fun.

Misslilo, you just buy bags with more slots in them you won't get more slots to put bags into. The biggest bags the ones you get from Harris Pilton "the gigantique" in Shattrath holds 22 items but it is several hundred gold. You can get one in your fifties levels from the Argent Dawn that holds 20 items. It's a quest reward. But you never get more slots to put bags into.
I did see a Portable Hole in the auction house but I can't remember exactly how much it held (20+) but it was over 1000 gold.
Best thing to do is create a toon that stays in Stormwind to be your bank alt and just send your sellable items to them. That helps you manage your money better and keep your bags empty. Also, if you just choose gathering professions get your bank alt up to lvl 6 and have them do leatherworking and they can turn your leather scraps into light leather and you make more money that way.

I agree with everything that Debra said. I wish that they had more slots for bags, but if they did I would just horde more items. This way I'm forced to sell. The largest bag that one toon has is 18 slots. She has seven 16 slot bags in the bank to hold more suff. I'm terrible at holding on to some items. My son made me my first blue item. I don't wear it, but I can't bring myself to sell it. rotfl

L4L, I just have to tell you what I saw last night in Ironforge. It was a PUG PUPPY. I was in the bank, I looked down at the bottom of my screen and he was behind me. SO CUTE. When he left I chased him out of the bank because I wanted to ask the player "how did you get him?" He logged off, before I could ask. sad

Andrea, maybe Pipen can help with Deadmines. She is level 40 now. Maybe some others would like to help out?

We set a record last night for -30. I'm staying in the house all day.

wave Linda

Andrea, I'm sure we can.

You can buy 16 slot Netherweave bags for around 10 to 15 gold in the Auction House. Soot can make these too if you can provide the mats.

You can also get leather packs from the AH (or maybe we'll have a member who can make those) that are 14 or 16 slot.

As you level up, you can buy Frostweave bags, 20 slots, are usually in the 50 to 70 gold range. I think Soot can make those too, but the materials are quite expensive (which is why they are so expensive)

Sometimes you can loot a bag.

Making a banker character is a great idea and one that both Soot and I use. :wave12:

Lindy, I know how you feel. Son made me some my first complete armor set and it was wonderful. I've since replaced it, but just can't bring myself to sell it :rotfl12:

I saw that pug. You get it by doing random dungeons with 100 different people. So you get a pug dog for doing Pick Up Groups.

I never do that, but now I'm going to have to start.

-30 eek and double eek

Ok, I'm going to stop compaining about 20.

OK, Pick Up Groups (pug) makes sense. I thought something like that because he was level 80. He was so darn cute. Our son has a all black pug not one hair is a different color.

It will be a long time before temps get any warmer.

I was so excited when I heard about the Pug cos with as many animals as there are in WoW, there are no dogs sad

I'm thinking we can meet tomorrow at the Bank Stairs in Stormwind at 12 or 1 Server time to collect guild signatures. Does that time work for most? Which is better?

If you can't be there, you can sign later or if we have the 10 we need, then we'll just send you an invite to join as we see you online.

Also, we need a definite name--Can't change it once we do it. Do we want to go with "GameBoomers" or "GameBoomers" plus another word or two? What think you guys? Put on your creative caps guys.

If you look at your clock under your mini map, you can set that to either Server Time or Local Time. So if we all pick Server time on the same server, we'll all be on the same time--does that make sense?

Misslilo, I'll ask Soot to do the math-- The UK is 6 hours ahead of my time zone--how does your time zone compare to the UK?

Your welcome ;o)

GameBoomers is fine with me too

Ok, lets make it at 1 p.m. Server time, which is also 1 p.m. Central Standard Time.

That's 11 a.m. West Coast time and 3 p.m East Coast time.

Misslilo, according to the internet, Copenhagen is 7 hours ahead of where I live which would be 7 hours ahead of Server time.

So that would mean 8 p.m for you. Does that time work for you?

Doc, you can have up to 10 characters on one server. All you have to do is make a character--human would be easiest as that would be closest to Stormwind. Then have that character run into Stormwind and "live" at the Mailbox by the bank.

You will probably want to get her bags and a bank slot or two as you get money. Then you mail stuff from your active toon to the banker to hold or sell.

I mail stuff when I'm questing and don't want to have to go back and sell.

You get the bigger bags as loot drops or usually, by buying them in the AH or getting the materials for them and having a tailor make them. Soot is a tailor so when you have mats, he can make them for you for free.
