I was working on the tree thingie on the floor where the Count is, and it has frozen up. I have reloaded earlier saves and I still can't the rings to move again. It makes a noise and the hourglass icon appears sometimes when I click a ring, but nothing moves.

Does anyone have a saved game to get me past this??

Much appreciation in advance!

MaG - You think someone can help me unstick a saved game that worked previously?

Are you clicking/dragging the rings to rotate them?

Hi, Usually Stuck

I am sending a save game after the puzzle is done....Put the two files in the save game folder which can be found in "My Documents"

Make sure you don't have duplicate save 's ..This file has 0008 ...Make sure if you have a 0008 you change the number to one you don't have...

luck

Luv Dar

Ronrob, I need some information about the floor design at St-Germain's house. a) When you say "circle 1:turn 3 times counterclockwise" do you mean a complete turn and is the circle 1 the outside one or the inside one?
b) why didn't you say "circle 2, 5 times instead of saying circle 2, once and then repeat circle 2 , 4 times? I don't quite understand what you mean. Thank you for your wk and your answers to my questions. Sali

Hi, sali

This is how I did it....The Inner circle "Middle" I turned counterclockwise several times...Then I did the same to the next circle...The Inner is the Bull Eye circle the next would be the second from the Middle.

Keep turning both several times till you hear the count talk...Those two will then lock in place...The next two are easy....I just kept spinning...

If you need a save I have it..

luck

Sali, I'm beginning to wonder whether the puzzle is randomized. I haven't heard of anyone for whom my solution, which worked for me, worked for them.
I think Daleen's method might be the way to go.

Another option is to hire a six-year-old to spin all the rings for about 6 hours and hope for the best.

You might need to take Darleen up on her offer to send a save, though.

Ronrob, thanks for your answer. I'm going to pretend I'm 6 years old (just put another 6 before that one) and try to be fast and patient!!!! Very funny. Sali

Thank you Darleen , sorry I didn't see your answer; I managed to do it by myself but didn't know how I did it. Your suggestion is clear and I'll remember it for the next time. Thank you both, it's realy fun to have your help and your jokes!Sali
