I am having serious navigation problems in this game even though I've printed out a map! I'm trying to find my way into the Gravity Drop area after finding the map in locker 16 and clicking on the X. I seem to get close to it but can't get into it. The walkthrough tells me to take this map but all I can do is look at it and remark that there's an X on it. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong here and not triggering the opening up of the Gravity Drop area.

I've had trouble with the navigation all through this game but am persevering as I'm enjoying the story so much. I read somewhere that it's a short game which can be completed in three hours. I've already spent an awful lot more time on it than that because of my confused meanderings around the park!

Hi Jill,

It isn't possible to pick up the map from the locker. The Gravity Drop area can be tricky to locate. Did you manage to find your way inside the gate of that area? If you can get to the path where the ferris wheel is directly to your right, move forward and then right, and you'll see a gate - head for that.

Once inside, there are two arrows which lead off in slightly different directions, so move your cursor around for both of them. Try both and see where they lead.

Another tip: If you're standing at Tunnel of Terror, face away from the entrance.
Pan left and see a walled area to your left. That is Gravity Drop.

luck

Hi Rushes,

Thank you so much. I followed your instructions from an earlier save point and found I had actually been in the Gravity Drop area without realising it. This is because I didn't spot the brief appearence of a cross on the map board there! I'm now meandering onwards, loving the game but hating being constantly lost and lurching around!

Sorry to be a pain but I've encountered a new problem ie lack of Xs on other maps. After eventually finding the first red X I found the second map board but it doesn't show a red X. I looked at the walkthrough again and know it only appears fleetingly on the Ferris wheel map and have restarted the game a dozen times now but still don't see the X. I even went on to the next maps in case I'd simply missed seeing it but still no Xs there.

This puzzle is problematic in that if you glance even briefly at the wrong map stand along the way, then the puzzle resets itself and you have to replay the entire sequence over from scratch.

So - return to the locker, look at the map there, then start again.

If at any time you look at a map stand and don't see that red "X" - it's the incorrect stand and you need to go back to the locker to try again.

luck

Wow, that thought never occurred to me. That's VERY sneaky! Thanks for the quick reply, Rushes. I'll give it another go and keep my fingers crossed.

Phew, I made it to the end! Thanks very much indeed for the help. I was ready to give up a couple of times but carried on because I really enjoyed the story and atmosphere. I'd hate my comments to put anyone off this game. I'm awful at navigation and seem to have problems that few other players encounter!
