You may need to right click the setup program and peruse to Run as Administrator.

InlandAZ, I tried that and also all compatibility options. I'm still getting "an error (-5004 Ox8007002 has occurred while running this setup" I have a Gateway FX with geoforce 9800 vid card so I don't thionk there should be any issue with installing the game.

Are you running Windows Defender?

The only other error like your own was related to Windows Defender - yes, try disabling it.
