My apologies for startin another topic of dragon age... I just wanted to avoid spoilers, if any. I just started this game 1 or 2 days ago. (runs smoothly on p4 3ghz. Probably cause of Geforce 9800) I'm back from 'Korcari Wilds' and while I was there, I only did 2 main quests that the warden told me to and the wild flower one for the dogs. There are a few more things to do in that place but I'm back & did the ritual quest & now the king wants to send me elsewhere. If I do the king's quest, would I be able to go back to 'Korcari Wilds' again? Also, when do I get to meet zevran? I'm using the walkthroughs at gamebanshee and gamepressure. EDIT: I just read this at dragon age wikia "it is still possible to return to the Korcari Wilds to complete unfinished quests before going to the Tower of Ishal, but only before the Joining ritual is done. After the Joining, the Korcari Wilds become inaccessible. " Looks like I'll have to load some other save game of mine Edit: When do we get to meet Zevran?

If you're just finishing the Kocari Wilds, you won't meet Zevran for quite a while yet. If I remember correctly, the soonest you're able to meet him is after finishing up Lothering.

Thank you, toger
Edit: After the war with darkspawn, I'm once again in the wilds. Morrigan and her mother talked to me and I tried to choose the answers that wouldn't offend Alistar or Morrigan. After the dialogues, I got +4 approval from both Alistar and Morrigan. Is this enough or is it possible to score more?

Alistar has this strange red aura around him like flames. He had some injury which I had cured with some kit but he still holds his shoulder in the party selector. What could be wrong?

Hugh, does he have more than one injury? According to GameFaqs: njury Kits, found in chests, from merchants, and also can be made using Advanced Herbalism once you buy a recipe.
Every time a character dies, he acquires and injury. a Lesser Injury Kit will heal one injury, Injury Kit heals two, and Greater heals them all, if I recall. They are used from the radial menu like any other item... and also I disagree with the above answer about a rogue fighting with reduced cunning, since a lot of their combat skills have damage based on that stat.
You can see if you have an injury by looking at the Character Record screen for each character. The red-background section, second from the top below buffs, lists injuries. Also, they appear on screen as red-background icons in the UI above where your buffs are in the lower right corner of the screen. Just try to get in the habit of switching to the character that died after combat and having them use an Injury Kit, or you can use them in battle if you revived them in combat (such as with Wynne's Revive spell).

There are some buffs that remain after combat. I don't remember exactly which it is but the glowing red one may be one of Alistair's preset tactics (Song of Valor buff is purple with stars).

Then I think it's 'Threaten' that's making him all red 'aura'ed' :)) PHEW and here I was worried that he might hate me for not healing him. I'm playing this on normal but the combat for me is very tough, specially the one during 'village under siege' at Redcliff. I've turned it to easy. Is it just me who finds the combat tough? Guess I'm more an action adventurer than rpg'er Hi Hugh You can pause the game at any time by pressing the spacebar (on the pc) and then commands to your team mates. When you unpause, they will carry out your orders. You also need to remember that each order takes time, since it takes time to draw a upon, shoot an arrow and cast a spell. For combat help, you can use Alistair as a tank (one that takes damage) or a soldier (one that deals out damage). The rogue is very nice to have when you plan to backstab people (literally) in the game and you'll need a mage as well. (I trust you already knwo this). They key to succes is to run away if and when the enemies are too strong or to run around enemies and occasionally hit them. Mages need to stay way in the back casting spells, rogues need to stay to the side a bit and the tank and the soldier needs to get into infights with the monsters enemies. This game, DA: Origins, is all about strategy and tactics in combat. If you play the best FPS games, you don't send all your soldiers (troops/team mates) into battle right away. You send a scout (rogue) into the area to scout ahead, maybe you then throw some bombs or grenaded with your artillery guy (the mage). And then you go into battle with the soldiers...

Hi Hugh Have you tried looking out for something in the environments that might help, a door perhaps that will close, a lever of some sort that closes a gate and other such stuff? You can use your dog to attack people and the hounds with as there is a chance to stun them. Also, have Morrigan cast a lot of frost spells. It'll freeze the hounds; generally for enemies in larger areas it is best to cast spells cover the whole area. And you do know that spells can be combined? Cast grease, then fireball, and watch the entire area go up in flames. In the room with the Mabari Wardogs in the Castle at Redcliffe, can't you lure one dog out after another?

That's a great idea, Karsten. I didn't know you could combine spells that way. Thanks. I set a lot of traps & stood far away w/ Morrigan & Lelian, since it was a long corridor and made my hound lure the hounds out. So when they were in the main corridor, 'we' shot the arrows & magic to the hounds, so by the time they were close, they were already injured. Had to sacrifice poor cujo (my hound) though. Morrigan got enough experience by the time we were in the courtyard so I chose "heal" in the skills Hope it would come in handy.

It should come in handy Hugh. I finished the castle and I went on to the Tower where the Mages are supposed to live. I keep dying caus you're on your own in the tower once you get into dreamland (that's just what I call it) and I get to the room with a bunch of mages. horrible place to die LOL. Morrigan can heal but only so much so use it sparingly. I'm thinking you're getting close to last level. Keep up the fighting and keep Morrigan alive and healthy. You're probably going to want her later on. I know I did.
EDIT: Worse advice EVER! sorry i couldnt be of more help. once i know where you are i can help better...i just don't want to blow the end caus it's important the choice you make.

Hugh, Morrigan will disapprove of many things throughout the game, as she is a contrarian. Ignore her for the time being. There will be lots of opportunity to push her disposition back up later on. She and Wynne are not exactly kindred souls (actually, Morrigan doesn't like anyone).
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Thanks Hagatha & Karsten. Actually, I told Wynne that I need time to consider. After that I could change the party members before agreeing to help her. So morrigan didn't get -1 but I guess, like you guys said that, I have to ignore her at times since she and Sten don't like it when I try to help others.

If you talk to your party members in camp and get it right, you can get large increases in their disposition. Just make sure you save before you start talking. Sten is really quite easy to get up to max disposition. So is Morrigan. Actually, most of the party members are easy to get to max disposition. Make sure you give them the appropriate gifts and you'll have no trouble. The only ones I ever have trouble with are Oghren and Wynne.

You'll always be able to go back to the Tower, all of it. So don't worry if you can\'t complete all the quests in there.
