Can any of you Boomers out there suggest a decent first-person shooter game BUT a simple game whereby only the mouse can be used rather than a gamepad etc.

I enjoyed Bladerunner which, when right-clicking the mouse, brought up the cross-hairs of the weapon on screen ready to use.

Mouse driven only and a simple but good game?

Thanks all thumbsup

The Bioshock series is awesome, only limited keyboard use, mostly mouse if you set it up right. I found it to be the easiest to win and never needed a cheat code to get me through.

I second the Bioshock series... I love the story too.

Older Tomb Raider games use the mouse and keyboard but the controls are not hard to learn and the games are so much fun!

I was going to suggest bioshock too although I've played a little on PC but mostly one PS3.

bioshock is definitely a win win in my mind. also had some fun with halo and halo 2 now that they are on pc. FEAR is a great one. easy fps are hard to find anymore as the game genre expands and gets more graphics intensive. half-life and half-life 2 were loads of fun to play over and over again. ive heard good things about the online side of fps but watch out for the guys with rocket launchers and snipers....just food for thought.

Another of my favorites is Prey. The weapons are just wicked cool and the story is great.

HalfLife has to get on the list, and The Orange Box (containing HalfLife 2, Portal and more) is great value. You will need some keyboard controls as well as the mouse, but I think that is inevitable with a decent FPS game (unless you move to a console rather than PC and prefer thumbsticks to mouse). wave

I agree with Lex - it is very difficult to find a good shooter without using keyboard controls or a console controller, this can be used also with some games in the PC. Controllers need some time to get used to though.
