Will this be the second game after twister then? That's a blow we don't get a totally new story.

They did not state that there will not be a normal second game and that this is replacing it. My understanding as of this time is that this is a special release. I am trying to get that confirmed and I will let you know. Ana

Thanks Ana, that's good news. If I recall correctly the original game had two discs that had to be changed back and forth during the game.

I'm almost positive that there is another new ND game planned for an October release, as someone on the HER blog mentioned it and said it would have an international setting. Will wait for word from Ana. This remastered version of Secrets Can Kill also makes sense in the context of what I have read; namely, that Ship of Shadows (the next Dossier game) has been put on hold for an indeterminate amount of time. Part of the reason might have been because they were working on the Secrets Can Kill remastered version instead.

According to the game page on herinteractive, the remastered game won't require you to switch discs like the original
The key features section of the page says:
New challenging puzzles Updated graphics Single installation - no switching between discs necessary And more...!

Yes, Secrets had two disks lots of switching and a glitch that showed up every so often, sometimes not in a playing and the next time it was there. I still have all the Nancy Drew's. sitting ever so neatly on the shelf. (except #20) I do have Waverly though. I would problably buy a new Secrets just to play without the switching. Charllotte

Oh that's a shame that the dossier game has been put on hold I like them. It is a good idea to remake the first game for an anniversary tho.

I haven't tried to play through Secrets Can Kill in years because of the switching. This is wonderful news.
Thank you HER! And thank you Gameboomers for posting the news!

This is such great news! I wonder if the game will be played exactly like the original without the cartoonish characters. Even if it is the same game I will enjoy playing it again in its new format. I will definitely buy it .
