ADDED 5/12/10 A German demo has been released, no news about an english release yet, but I'm sure it won't be long! bitComposer Games and NAMCO BANDAI Partners are today releasing the official German demo version of the point&click adventure, Alter Ego. The 242 MB demo willl enable amateur detectives to thoroughly test the first three chapters of the game and explore the eerie atmsophere of 19th century Plymouth. The player can solve the first puzzles surrounding the death of Sir William Arthur Lewis in the roles of the thief Timothy Moor and Police Detective Bristol. If you want to download the demo, click HERE. ***************** Publisher bitComposer announced today that Alter Ego, the latest offering from Czech studios Future Games , who created the legendary PC adventure Black Mirror, is set to be released this quarter. A new movie now allows you a glimpse into the sombre world of Alter Ego, and new screenshots will also give you a sense of the atmospheric settings that intrepid PC players will experience as they move through the game. Download the trailer HERE and have a look at the new screenshots in our gallery HERE. Alter Ego takes virtual gamers to the town of Plymouth in the South of England as the 19th century draws to a close. A series of gruesome murders shakes both the town and the entire region after a strange aristocrat dies who was the subject of many horrifying myths in his lifetime. Players can discover and investigate the various scenes as they alternate between two totally different heroes, the thief Timothy Moor and Police Detective Bristol, to slowly reveal a dark secret.
Alter Ego is scheduled for release in Q1 2010 on Windows PC. :winter:

Hmm, I think maybe I know the dark secret! The title is Alter Ego, so it could be that the thief and the detective are one person, like a Jekyll/Hyde personality maybe. Just a wild guess here as I haven't even looked at the screenshots.
