Hi everybody, I could use some help with this dial lock. The station number code I keep getting is 728, it never changes. The stationmaster code for mail dispatch is 21974 and that also remains the same. I have tried entering these numbers in different combinations and backwards but the results are always the same, nothing happens.
I must be doing something wrong? But what? Thank you, LOU

Hi Lou, Are you taking the 3 digit station code from the top left of the clipboards? You'll see on each clipboard that a different digit of the 3 has been defaced, but looking at all 3 clipboards will give you the full number. It's not related in any way to the station number that's on the wall outside to the right of the track tunnel. Another member confused the two numbers, which is why I thought I'd check this with you. When you're entering the 8 digit code into the lock, be sure to click on the Enter button after each digit. The Enter and Reset are close to each other, so take care not to accidentally hit Reset. Edit: Nice signature, by the way!

I have tried everything, but nothing works. The three digit code I am getting now is 596, I enter that into the dial making sure I hit the enter button each time. Then I enter the mail dispatch number (21974) again using enter after each number and when I try to open the Staff room door, it brings me back to the dial again. I don't want to give up on the game, but my anger is telling me to burn it! Can someone help me? Lou

Hi MaG, I would love a save game but I have forgotten how to use it. Please include an explanation with the save. Thank you, Lou

Hi,
I'm having the same problem. I enter the three digit code 283 then the dispatch number 21974, but nothing happens. I pressed enter after each number, but can't open the door. Any ideas? In the meantime maybe I will try reversing the first three numbers like someone else did.

Hi Ladybug,
Double check that your first 3 digits of the code are correct. You'll see at the top left of each of the clipboards that only one digit appears - the two other digits have been defaced. Note the positions of the defaced digits, so you know where the remaining legible digit should be. Apply this to all 3 clipboards and you'll have the correct positions of the digits.

Hi,
Instead of 283 I tried switching the numbers around and when I clicked on 238 the door opened. IT REALLY IS RANDOM. Thanks all!

Hello again, Does anyone have a save game for when Gloria is saved and she gives an artifact ring and her lock pick? Lou

I have passed the point above. I'm attempting to "Divine the forgotten." When I right click the tapes, or the recorder, they talk to me, but I don't hear any "High or low tones," What ought I be listening for? Is it the violin music or another kid of sound? My minor hearing problem causes me all kinds of difficulties with sound puzzles. Is the sequence random? If not, I'd appreciate a hint.

Thank you very much. I got that far and am now proceeding with this beautifully creepy game.
