I save the game when I finish doing something, but when I exit and go back in, the game starts out at the beginning. The play button doesn't come up on the screen. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem.

I did uninstall the game and reinstalled it, but I'm still having the same problem. Can't save and start back where I ended.

Try installing the game to some place other than C:\Program Files.

I installed the game on another drive and the same thing happened. I later learned Windows 7 sometimes puts thing in the documents of the computer. So, that's were all the saves are going. At least now I know what happened to all my saved games and can now access them.

The game should access the saves in "Documents" automatically.
It isn't just Windows 7 that puts the saves in My Documents. Most games will do that now.
Have you tried installing the game in Documents?
If that doesn't help, try running the game by right-clicking and choose to run as an administrator.
