Rushes walks/drives for miles while sticking within the gumshoes of Ms. Nancy Drew. Find out if the 22nd Nancy Drew mystery adventure is a game for story lovers or for puzzle lovers.

Excellent review, Rushes! grin I agree with much of what you said. I recently told a friend of mine that if I had to grade this game I would give it a "B."

I did think that the driving was a little more forgiving in this game. I drove around rather recklessly throughout the duration of the game but it never proved a serious impediment to my progress.

I really do miss the original formats of the earlier games. This one is ok so far except that I have wrecked that poor car numerous times! It's really funny! Very accurate review. I have yet to finish the game but so far I am kind of bored with it.I would rate this game compared to the early ones a C-. Hopefully the newly remastered Secrets Can Kill will be more like the original game with better graphics.

To be honest, Rushes, I've gone off "chore ridden, vehicle driving" Nancy Drew games - but I thoroughly enjoyed your review !! praise
[ Probably more than I would the actual game rotfl]

Thank you thumbsup

Thank you Rushes for a very entertaining review! I wouldn't describe my memories as 'fond' of the driving in Secret of the Old Clock & Ransom of the Seven Ship lol

I totally agree with the sentiments of Mad but I will probably buy it anyway! smile

Actually, one distinction that should be made is that with the exception of one puzzle/task in the game (which I actually thought was quite fun), there are no repetitive chores in the game; i.e., you are not having to cook over and over, etc., etc. It's not like White Wolf of Icicle Creek in that regard (where folks were demanding that you keep set hours and that you cook).

Thanks for the review. I can't wait to play the game! I must admit I disliked the driving in Secret of the Old Clock, and hated the driving in the Ransom of the Seven Ships. So I'm not looking forward to the driving. I didn't even like the outside walking in Castle Malloy. I was hoping after Waverly came out that all the driving/walking was finished with and we were back to good ole fashioned gameplay. One the other hand, I quite like the cooking chores in some games. Waverly did it best because you could do it any time of the day - the White Wolf game was more rigid and the times interfered with detective work. Ah well, I will always play the Nancy Drew games!
