Bought this one almost immediately. Lovely game, interactive. Kind of like Princess Isabella, where you have to restore the kingdom. Good graphics and story line. Also Bagged it on sale. It's worth more than the price.

What is that .dll you have to install? Hope it doesn't affect my computer in any way. Just curious before I install it.

It's completely harmless.

Margie B posted the following about it on Big Fish this morning:

"I see a lot of concerns regarding the Open Al program. I am not a big technical person but I can assure you that the Open Al program is legit.

I had a game that I was recently writing a walkthrough for (can't remember the name) and the game would not work properly so the techs at the office determined that it was because I did not have Open Al installed in my computer. Once I installed it, the game ran properly.

I can assure you that you can accept the Open Al program. Once you have it installed you should not have to do it again if you download another game that requires it unless there is an update to the Open Al program."

My understanding is that it has to do with the audio in the game. smile

I installed the game without that additional Installer and played a part of the demo fine. I pass this game, it feels like a deja vu.

I am unable to see any text in the game - I updated flash & shockwave and I did see and allow the AI to install (I had seen that before so it didn't concern me).

But if I cannot read anything, it would be difficult to play the game - BFG help is off today.

Anyone else have this happen? I did try compatibility settings and all that did was to make the game not open at all. duh

It seems to be my type of game and is very pretty! I loved Princess Isabella! Would like to be able to purchase with the 4th of July pricing so that is why I am asking here.

thanks Linda

The 1st time I installed the game without the Open Al program, it would not run, I reinstalled it with the program and in runs just fine. Again I'm really liking this one.

Thanks! I just went to the game folder and it does show the AI installed so I don't think that is the problem.

I might try to download it again to my notebook but I really prefer to play on my desktop.

I appreciate your input! thanks

A few other people are reporting this problem in the Big Fish forums; it would appear that they have Windows 7; do you? If I see any resolution to this problem, I will post here.

That's a great game. Haven't finished it yet, but need a break. The book pretty well tells you what you have to do, so I'm passing on the WT for now. Well worth playing.

Yes Marian, I have Windows 7.

I tried the "random" FYI suggestions from BFG re:compatibility but then the game wouldn't even start. duh

I will go to the forum and see what else might be suggested.

Thanks Marian! Bless You!!

Yes,Linda it happened to me. I finally uninstalled it. I was in stalling on my laptop, which was set up to play these games because I can't sit at my desktop anymore. I have not had a problem in 5 years. It's a Dell and super for dames if you tell them what you want & even better when the sales person has been a games person for years. (Our type of games)

Thank you Thracia - uninstalled and downloaded and re-installed - no change.

Thank you Patsy! The game will just not play in my Win 7, 64bit system I guess. Could be the video card - this is my first ever ATI Radeon card.

I checked for an update but supposedly there isn't one. *sigh*

I am pretty sure BFG will fix this problem - just not today rotfl

Thankfully this doesn't happen to me often.

I also have 64 bit Windows 7, and it's running wonderfully for me, but I do have an NVidia card.

It's All About Masks had a terrible time on my system and Dr. Felix couldn't help at first, but BFG gave me a free game coupon, then fixed the problem in less than a week. Have faith, Raylin, they WILL come through quickly!

There's a documented bug in this game that those of you who are playing may or may not encounter. The developer is working on a fix right now, but I will post the steps here that the developer posted that causes this bug:

"Hi everyone--

I wanted to follow up really quickly with a few details about the Bar bug - bear in mind that we are fixing this issue but it'll take a little while to get the patch out to everyone. In the meantime, the bug is caused by the following sequence of steps:

1. Remove the pump handle from the left keg using the wrench.

2. Navigate to the right side zoomed-in scene (the one where you originally found the pump handle).

3. Navigate back to the main scene without attaching the pump handle to the second keg.

4. Use the pump handle on the first keg.

This results in re-attaching the pump handle to the first keg (which at this point should no longer be useable - which is the bug) and you get stuck, since you can't remove the pump again without the wrench.

The good news is that this is easy to fix, but as I said, it'll take us a little while to get it out to you all. Hopefully this problem isn't spoiling the game for too many of you, and thanks to everyone who provided details on their experience so we can track this problem down."

Apparently the bug will not occur if you do things differently than in the order above, but I thought I would post this in case it is helpful to those of you who are playing the game already.

Hi Anna,
I love this game rah but had trouble with the audio. frown It started making awful noises if I picked the wrong item in the HOG parts and then when I was looking for items to pick up or use, it started with a terrible noise then I lost the music and all sound. cry I was able to finish the game but would like to try it again after a fix with the sound. taz I did install the Open AL.

I can't get past chapter 25 - the circus scene - second to last - the gems need to be pressed in the correct order to open the ring

I've looked at the number sequence on the boards below the ticket window, but still can't get it - there's no help for this in the walkthru, it just jumps from collecting the stones into the next chapter

help, please
