I'm in the Library and have opened the little oval panel and placed the gem in to it, a light is supposed to be directed at the carved wooden desk, the only thing is that once I have placed the gem into the oval I can't get out of this particular screen without having to close the oval panel, which then doesn't light up the desk, is this a problem with the game? Hope you have an answer for me. June

Hi June,

Did you pick up the letter which fell to the ground over on the other side of the room?

Also, go back to the other oval where you climbed the ladder and moved the lever, and click on that oval again. I think you need to do that before the light will activate. If it doesn't - then return once more to the oval where you placed the gem and flip that open again.

Thanks Rushes, you came to my rescue yet again, I hadn't realizd that the other oval made any diference, but it worked so Thank you so much, I have finished the game now so I wont need to bother you again today or for a while, or until I get stuck on a new game again. June
