In Chapter 1, I am in the hospital the second time. I sort out the insurance with the nurse and I go to see mum. The walkthrough from MaG says talk to mum, she will grab me, and warn me. I cannot get her to waken or respond. What do I have to do to get her to grab me?

If you can't talk to mum at this time or never - that's fine. It was a story flavoring only; she will say something that ties the story later on.

I need to get the scales from under mums bed in the hospital. A left click gets a reply: I'd better leave the scales here. What would I do with scales?

A right click produces the dialog: A set of scales...maybe for overweight patients? They certainly look a bit more solid than the one's you'd have in your bathroom at home.

I cannot pick up the scales, is there anything in particular that I have to have or do, in order to pick them up for inventory.

Do you actually need the scales yet? They'll come in useful when you eventually gain access to the mortuary to examine the body. Until you're at that point I wouldn't worry too much.

Yes I am in the mortuary for the second time and need them to weigh Fuller.

Did you step on the planks just in front of the entrance to the secret room in Fuller's studio? You'll get specific dialogue from Darren saying how Fuller's weight is critical to opening the door. That might be the trigger to pick up the scales. Also try both left and right clicking on the body, and both trolleys in the mortuary, see if that helps.

Thanks Rushes. Finally got the scales. I retraced my steps, did everything again in basement and hospital and I was able to get scales first time. Obviously I thought I had done something but I never. This is really a fantastic game.
