Hi everybody.
I'm having the same exact problem as Joyce did in the lab after analyzing the seeds and wrapping. I also went back to previous saves, (re)started midway and couldn't put things back. The seeds are still on the microscope and I can't get rid of the tweezers. Lise, if you could send those saves again, you would save the day! Thanks, Jesse.

Thanks for everything Lise. My game can't recognize the two saves (four files), no matter what I do - pasting over the old ones, changing the numbers as the next in series, making an entirely new folder with those saves as 0001 and 0002 after starting a new game which saved the first game as "0000." I went as far back as the initial theater visit as well, and got stuck in the same spot. Later, I reinstalled the game on my XPPro, SP3 PC, played through to the same spot and failed again, then installed it on my Windows 7 computer and still the same. Do I need to modify the save files themselves or scrap the game altogether? Couldn't find any patches either. What have I missed?
Best regards, Jesse.

Jesse, You can start over the scene at the lab. Redo everything and double check the walkthrough.

Thanks Lise for the setup file, and also to MaG for the hint. I succumbed to the walkthrough by downloading it and playing from the beginning very carefully. Still couldn't get out. Did the same for the Win7 PC and blasted through the dialogues this time - still nada. Looked at the .aom files starting at the word "seed" and compared Lise's with mine and they were exactly the same. Then I did a "Compare and Merge" in Word (took all night) and found nothing dissimilar. I remembered about not turning off the PC or scanner, which I couldn't do if I tried anyway. I even went back to the shooting gallery and placed a fresh target to be a nice guy (couldn't take mine) and that didn't change anything.
At this point, unless I realize I made the same (dumb) mistake over half a dozen times, I'm throwing in the towel and trashing this game. Too bad, I really was enjoying it.
Thanks for all your help.
Best regards, Jesse.

I don't have any saves at this point in the game. All I can suggest is to check that the scanner is clear and the lid is closed, and to follow the walkthrough exactly. Otherwise your game may have a glitch.
