There is no walkthrough on GameZebo or BigFish, not sure if anyone else will write one. We have a couple playing members, hopefully they'll be here to help. Ana

Yes Marion,I've been playing for about a week now and it just dawned on me what you meant about the portals Where you have to go are in Yellow, and the ? marks all you have to do is follow them!It wasn't until I read your post that the light in the old brain clicked on Marion
I may not have gone where I intended to go,but I think I have ended up where I need to be.

Regarding fists and skulls on weapons:
The skulls determine how much damage the weapon will do, assuming it's not blocked and you don't get a critical hit.
The fist determines how much attack power it takes to use the weapon. When you match three or more fists in a round, it adds some to your total attack power (fists). When you have enough attack power accumulated, you can swing your weapon.
Hence it's best to have a weapon with lots of skulls, but few fists. Usually you'll have to make a choice: either you equip a weapon that takes a lot to swing it, but does a lot of damage, or you equip one that takes less to swing it but also does less damage.
Upgrading a weapon usually increases the damage it does, and sometimes decreases the amount of attack power it uses. Sometimes it also adds extra bonuses to the item. So upgrading seems to always be beneficial.
There's one particular item which you should absolutely upgrade: it normally adds 1 to each of your stats (strength, agility, etc,) but fully upgraded it adds 5 to all of them. It's also usually a good idea to upgrade your best weapons so that you can hit for good damage.
