BinnieBob OP Junior Boomer B Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 2	Can't get into the locked case - can't get the dob clue until I have the 'important event' clue, when I then get the dob, the important event one disappears - replayed this so many times now, it's not even funny. Am I missing something really obvious?

In version 1.00 it could be only taken when the "important event" clue is present. It is still removed from the clue list when the briefcase in the library is opened, because it's only related to that puzzle. Been awhile since I played this, but I'm thinking this is the troublesome spot for you. There is a great forum found here that has good info, but since Lighthouse Interactive shut down, the patch is no longer available there. Google Darkness Within v1.01 Patch (there is also a v1.02 patch) and download the fix from Gamespot or other trusted site, and you should be good to go!
