I can't get the termites in the inlet because I no longer seem to have a short pointed stick. I must have used it on something else and now I can't move forward. My only saved games if REALLy far back in the game. I can't believe the this game is structured in this way where you can use your items in several ways but forfeit their use in other areas when needed! Is there somewhere else for me to get one or make one? If not, can someone send me a saved game to load if I have no other choice? I really don't want to start all over again.

Collecting the termites is optional, as are all the foodstuffs. As long as you have enough food of whatever kind to keep Mina and Jep's bars in the green, you'll be ok.

As for the pointed stick, double check the area where it was originally located, perhaps you missed picking it up first time around.

You'll need to be playing as Jep in order to do this.

It's located in the area just before you descend down the steep path to the beach (where the lasers in the sides of the wall are). So search the grassy area before that as Jep, and hopefully you should find it.

Found it! You were right, I missed it the first time around. I guess if I run out of food I can always fish for food. Thanks for your help.
