I ordered Lost Horizons and got it in 2 weeks. I found this slower than usual as I usually get Interact games in 10 days.

I still prefer disk versions myself as well. I wouldn't mind downloading at all if there was no DRM to worry about.

Since I've had so many computer issues this past year, I have used up all my activations on Journey to the Center of the Earth, which I purchased from The Adventure Shop. Now, if I want to play my game again, I'll have to e-mail them and ask for more activations just to play a game I legally purchased. This is the second time, too, as the first time I was only able to activate the game once due to an issue on their end. In the end, this is all more trouble than it's worth.

I think I will purchase Journey from GOG at this point. At least then I'll never have to go through that hassle anymore, and I'll actually own the game as opposed to just renting it. Now if only they would get Culpa Innata Uncut as well . . .

Until other websites follow GOG's example, which I don't see happening any time soon, it will be disk versions all the way for me. I only download if it is a game I really want to play, and there is no other alternative.

Just one more small piece of information to add:
Gamersgate has some games that are DRM free and this is why I choose them if the price is right, some of the games I have downloaded in the past that are DRM free:

5)The Secrets of Da Vinci: The Lost Manuscript
6)Art of Murder 1: FBI

Now I know a lot of these games are older games and or can be got in a Boxed game with CDs but these are just samples ..
So hopefully there is a game out there that you don't have and you are lucky to come accross a DRM free game.

One last note: GG seems to have the most selection (Not counting GOG of course) of DRM free games

All In All....I am Happy that we are able to download games from other countries...Most have no publishers in the USA...

I am glad that I have the option to download if the game has no publisher to make hard copies..

There are so many "Wonderful" games coming from Germany lately, and Italy...That if it wasn't for a download ...Like Tale of a Hero...I would not have been able to play in the US. So thats why I am so Happy about options to download ,and play now....

I hope GamersGate has improved in the last year, because before it was awful IMHO. I had trouble with them constantly and the downloads rarely worked.

Hope to hear that they are better as I will then start to try to use them if they have games that I wish to play. Hate to stay away from a site because of problems...would be glad to hear that they have corrected their previous offerings.

I have downloaded 13 or 14 games from GG going back to March 2008 (the latest records I have on them) and have had only 1 minor problem.
The only Beef I have with them is the slow download most of the time, although they have improved this somewhat in the past 6 months.
Note: AdventureShop and Direct2Drive download times are not much quicker either.
GOG download time, not too bad.

I forgot to mention that GG has a Blue Coins thing going where you get X number of Bleu Coins depending on: 1)The $ paid for a game 2)Pre Order bonus when offered 3)Other special Blue Coins offer, which are redeemable towards a purchase of game....

I agree! I have purchased Casual games from BF and they have downloaded just fine but every time I try to buy a large file game from other companies and tried to download it, there is a glitch and the game won't install. I have pretty much given up on that. In the stores, all I have been seeing lately (aside from the shooter type games) are Casual games. Since it is hard to find Adventure games in retail stores I have been ordering the boxed sets online. This has worked great for me. Hope that we will still have this option in the future.
