Is there any way to avoid the last of the three arade-type games for the cellar lock? I got the "pong" type game, as well as keeping myself between the moving lines, but there is no way I'm going to get that last game. I hate to give up on this when I've progressed so far into the game.

I hope this is the right place to post this; I wasn't sure if it should go in the general "hints" forum or not.

There are no skips in that game that I can remember Mary. There are no saves you can get either. sad

Can you get a friend to beat it for you?

I don't know anyone that can help me with it. Since I'm so new to these casual games (and started with one that only with a ton of luck I can finish), are most casual games like this? I also have MCF: Dire Grove; am I going to run into the same arcade sequence at the end?

The other one I have is Drawn (the first one); will I be okay with that one?

Mary, I don't remember any arcade sequences in Drawn...but I won't swear there aren't any. wave

Mary, most but not all of the newer games have skip features for the puzzles. Check the beginning tips on the blog walkthroughs to see if you can skip them or download a trial before you buy. Have fun, there are lots of great choices out there.

I think you can skip the door puzzles in Ravenhearst. Try clicking the black telephone on the right side of the screen. This should give you the option to skip the puzzle while adding a time penalty to your cumulative total.

You are correct, caan_mn! I was able to skip that puzzle and move on in the game.
Thanks for the tip!

I am glad that I was able to help!

If you have not played Madame Fate, yet, and decide to do so (which I suggest, as it is a lot of fun) the skip function should work in a similar way. Some of the "crystal ball" puzzles can be tricky!
