Played the CE version of this game and think it is the best HO Puzzle Adventure ever. Story is good, puzzles difficult but not impossible. HO scenes challenging but no pixel hunting. You get some inventory objects that you do not use for a long time. The game is long and you do a lot of running back an forth but the entire map is not overly large so going back and forth is not a big problem. If you click "hint" in a room you may thankfully get "there is nothing more to do here" type message which doesn't mean nothing to do, it means you do not have the inventory object to do it. This ia a BIG help. The extra play in the CE version does extend the story preparing for the sequel (although the extra plot info would not be essential to play a sequel). All in all a great game.... can't wait for the sequel.

I'm nearly finished with the CE of this game. I normally don't buy CEs but I enjoyed the demo so much that I decided I couldn't wait for the regular version. It's a great game!

Hi, Darlene!

I downloaded the demo and also experienced the wonky cursor. However, after I exited the demo and tried to continue play a few hours later, I kept getting the message that another game was running, so it wouldn't reload. I checked out the BFG forums and several other people are having the same problem, so I guess I'll have to wait for a fix before I can continue. It's too bad because I was really enjoying the game.

Hi, Dar!

Someone posted in the BFG forum that it's not compatible with Windows 7. Why on earth would any developer release a game that isn't compatible with Windows 7, an operating system that has been out for over a year now?

Hi, Dar!

I have the 64-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium, and there were a couple of games that would only run in a small window, and a couple more that just flickered and I could still see my desktop, but this is the first one that wouldn't reload.

I hope BFG is able to fix the problem because I was enjoying the demo as far as I got.

I downloaded the regular game and my cursor was sluggish and everything I got was in slow motion.
Than I downloaded the ce game and everything worked fine. Wonder why. I think it is a really nice game.

I have Windows 7 64 bit and didn't experience any problems with the collector's edition of this game. As a matter of fact, I have yet to have any problems with BF games since I got this computer. happydance

I bought this game yesterday & it played flawlessly for me until I stopped for a rest. Now it won't let me back in to the game. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem. I click on the game & nothing happens. I click a second time & it tells me it can't start because another game is currently running. If it is I can't find it! smile
I'm sure BF will find a fix for the game bugs. After all is'nt that one reason we like them so much. smile

I uninstalled & reinstalled but that didn't help. I have Vista 64 bit.

Don't bother me. I'm living happily ever after.

Hi, Calypso!

I posted earlier in this thread that the same thing happened to me while playing the demo.

I'm sure BFG will come out with a fix because lots of people that post in the BFG forum are having the same problem.

To get rid of the eel:

Click to reveal..
Do you have a fish in your inventory? If you do, make sure you are standing where you are looking down at the pump and at the water (I believe it's the same place you would be in after you entered the room), and throw the fish into the water on the left-hand side of the pump.

That one had me stumped too, Richard. I thought I knew what I was supposed to do, but it just wasn't working and I kept trying to feed the eel while I was at the pump.

Hi Susie07,

I hope they fix it soon because I really like the game. I'm back to playing The 13th Skull for the second time so I don't mind a short wait.

Hi, Calypso!

I hope they fix it soon as well because I was really enjoying the demo, as far as I got. There are a lot of very unhappy campers on the BFG forum because they played right through the demo and bought it. When they tried to pick up where they left off, they got the message that another game was running and it wouldn't load. I'm glad I got sidetracked halfway through the demo; otherwise, I'd be one of those unhappy campers lol !

I played the demo of "The 13th Skull" and really enjoyed it, but I'm waiting until December 1 to buy it because I want to use up my 2 November punch card coupons before they expire at the end of the month.

Does anyone know if the technical issue(s) for this game were fixed? I'd like to buy it tomorrow but hesitate because of all the incompatibility problems. I couldn't find an answer on the BF forum.

Thanks,
Barb

Nope. We are still waiting. It's a shame too because it really is a fun game. I actually got to play for about 2 hrs after I bought it before I took a break & then can't get it to reload.
