I downloaded this game from BigFish. I am at the slider puzzle of some sort of animal on the wall of the White Grotto. I am horrible at this type of puzzle but did manage to mostly complete it. However, there are missing some of the spots. They are not there. Is there any chance of finding a save game for right after this dreadful puzzle at all?? Thank you so much for your time and help.

Oh Rushes, thank you so much!! Do you happen to know where the saved games are stored? I have Windows 7 Premium Home 64 bit if that is any help.

I'm not familiar with Windows 7, but I'd try looking in your Documents folder first. If they're not there, try running a file search. Be sure to enable your Hidden Files & Folders in case they want to hide away. If you're unable to find them let us know.

I found the saved games but for some reason when I unzipped the file it tried to open it in Adobe Reader. I can't figure out why. don't know if this is something for Glitched Forum. I'll try to play around with it again tomorrow. Thanks much for all of your help.

Lotus,

If you downloaded only one file from that site, do not unzip it - place the file in the save folder of Echo. The game should open it for you. luck

Hello again. I don't know why but it just wouldn't unzip. While that annoys me as to the "why", I kept playing around with the slider puzzle and lo and behold I got through it. Thanks again for all of your help. This is a fine game.

Maybe the file was not zipped in the first place - if you downloaded only one file from the site.

Glad you're moving onwards.

Just because.... I did only download the single file and it was showing up as zipped in my WinRar. I did as you suggested and drug it into the saved games file but there was no difference...the saved game didn't show up. Just wondering why in case I ever would like to do this in the future. Thanks again for all of your help. wave

Possibly the BigFish version is incompatible with saves from the earlier disk release? think

I wondered the same thing, Rushes. As to the game MaG? Yes!

Hi,

If that can be of any help, as long as I remember and if my memories don't trick me, the games made by Kheops Studio have a specific tip to make the saved games work. Fortunately it is not a complicated one.
the key is the numbers attributed to your saved game files must be continuous.
For example, if your last saved game is named Save.023 and the one you downloaded on my site is Save.035, you will need to rename that last one to Save.024 to allow the game to find it.
I'm not saying it is THE solution but I think it will work. It's worth a try.

For the Windows 7 part, I'm playing Cleopatra: A Queen's Destiny right now from the same developer. I'm running Win7 Pro x64 and the saved games for that one are located in the installation folder of the game:
Cleopatra\Users\Profile1\
I suggest it might be the same for ECHO.

For the zip part, every saved game file provided is zipped for a matter of convenience (bandwith, size on server and useful one-file container). Once the zip file is downloaded, for example echosecretsofthelostcavern_savegames_part_001.zip you will have to unzip it and place the Save.001 file (which is the saved game) into the specific folder as stated above.
