Hey all!
Playing this wonderful adventure for about the third time. Ran into an odd bug. I installed the game using the DVD/HDD patch.
I'm at the point where
you need to get into the safe in Dick Winslow's office to get the Pensky case file.
I've followed the walkthrough from Balmoral Software to the letter. Covered pretty much all ground up to this point.
I've finished my tasks at the Hotel Cleveland and reported back to Sullivan. The walktrhough says to head to the FBI office after that. All well and good so far. I enter Winslow's office and exhaust all dialog choices with him.
Now here's where my problem comes in.
According to the walkthrough, I'm supposed to go back to Pearson's office at the COI and then immediately return to Winslow's office. At this point, Winslow is supposed to be "busy" with his secretary and the safe puzzle made available.
On returning to Winslow's office, he is still at his desk. Not in the other room with his secretary. Frustrating!
I tried using previous saves and combing back over all ground just in case. No luck.
Not sure if it's due to the patching or what. The DVD/HDD patch already has the 1.10 patch included, IIRC.
Any help or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks boomers!
