I just need to know if there is a simple way to enter cheats in the non-custom edition of the game. I have no programming (or reprogramming) skills and I have already found an article on how to modifiy the "target" field in the game shortcut. (entering -console -devmode as a command prompt.

I guess my question is: Once I press the tilde key and the "Halo(" field appears at bottom of screen, is it in that field that I need to enter my cheat codes, or is there another way in the non-CE version?

thanks BET. This will help . Halo seems like such a great story and such a classic sci-fi FPS. After some further reading what I am really trying to do is to be able to play the main campaign but through the Custom Edition of Halo, which apparently requires some modifying of .map files. Now that is scary. Apparently the original standalone version of the game does not allow for such modifications.

Which PC are you using? I am trying to find out if any of the Halos play in W7- 64 bit or alternatively in XP

Sorry for the late reply mcc and browneyedtiger. I had to push off from my pc lately to finish unpacking (I've recently moved to a new appartment).

As for my system, I'm using win7 64. Halo plays on both win7 and XP (through my XP virtual machine. What I really want to do is learn how to modify the UI file in halo Custom Edition and transfer the .map files from the original Halo to Halo Custom Edition so I can play the main campaign (main story) in single-player mode and not multiplayer. Only this way will I be able to apply the cheat codes for invinciility (God Mode) via the AllDev program BET provided above.
