The first and only time I went to the Pachinko parlor I played Pachinko over and over and won enough to empty the prize machine. The item I see in my inventory looks like a cat collar, pink with a cat's head on the buckle but hovering my cursor over it or anything else in the inventory "prizes" does not identify any item in there. I think I will make another trip back to that parlor and play some more...soon
Thanks and hi, hope your Halloween was FUN!

If I remember, Nancy will comment that the collar is what Rentaro wanted.
Also I think it is white with gold studs in it.

OK, I have slept, back to Pachino parlor 3 or 4 times, emptied the prize machine at least twice and have not seen anything that looks like what you describe...the only thing I see in my inventory or the prize machine now is a pink (stickpen or collar?) with a cats face on one end (the buckle?). None of the prizes in my inventory are identified when I hover my cursor over them. I am tired of playing that game for now, going off to do something else maybe a HOG. I'll probably get back to this again some time tomorrow but how many times do I have to empty the prize machine or how many sleeps do I need before this darn collar finally shows up?

I went into my game and took a screenshot of how the collar looks in inventory. Here it is:

You'll see that it is labelled also with the cursor over it.

If you don't have this collar and it is not appearing in the machine, do you definitely recall Rentaro mentioning it to you? Perhaps that dialogue with him still needs to take place? In my own game, directly after the conversation with Rentaro I went to the pinball game, and the collar was displayed as one of the prizes.

To be perfetly honest since I am playing from the point where Mag's saved game was inserted into my game, I do not remember if that conversation took place before her saved game or after, but it has definitely already occured as I have spoken to Rentaro so many times since and the subject does not come up again. One of the last times yesterday that I went to Pachinko parlor and played some more, Nancy makes that comment outside the store that Rentaro REALLY wants that collar, but it is not showing up in the prize machine so I will just keep on playing and buying prizes until it does...it may take quite a few naps! Oh well

Betty Lou,

My saves follow the walkthrough - so check what has been done previous to that saved game.

Aha, I tried a different tactic, after many sleeps and winning prizes I decided to try to talk to Rentaro one more time, as I did not see that collar in my inventory at all, and THIS time my dialogue had added "I have that collar you wanted" and VOILA there it was! Silly computer, trying to confuse me and send me round in circles grin and just like that the item I needed most shows up. Had fun at the P. parlor tho. Thanks you guys for all your help and patience. Now am trying to Beat the crystal doorlock puzzle and keep running out of time. Will check others calls for help on this one and see if there is any special tips I need to try. See ya later

Thanks Mag. Got it. Downloaded it yesterday sometime and am just now getting back to playing the game again....busy day yesterday.
I launched the game, chose your saved game and am in the garden looking at the night scene. Does this mean your save is where Nancy has done everything in that secret room and the secret bath and has exited the building? I don't suppose you have a saved game (or someone else has one) from just after solving the crystal doorlock puzzle? I would prefer to do everything else after that from that point on. Thanks
Love, Betty Lou

Hi Betty Lou, that sounds right. The crystal pieces puzzle is on the door lock which leads out onto the balcony -- which in turn leads down to the garden. So I don't think you've missed any gameplay here. MaG's play follows the walkthrough. smile
